Essential Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman Episodes

The only thing interesting about the reunion movies is seeing Sandra Bullock early in her career.

I enjoyed seeing Steve and Jaimie in later life and how they handle their bionics. That wasn't explored too much, but I still enjoyed the movies. My favourite part was Steve and Jaimie playing handball (I think).

If the show ends up holding my interest I will check out a reunion movie or three. Don't they get married in one of them?

^The final reunion movie, Bionic Ever After?, revolves around the nuptials of Steve and Jaime. It's the only one of the revival movies that's just about them rather than trying to be a backdoor pilot for a new generation of bionic characters.

Bionic Ever After? does contain a short cameo by of all people Wendy's founder Dave Thomas.

Sweet! Thank you for the replies. I was trying to make a list on my own using the episode ratings in imdb but it was tough not knowing if the episodes contained some kind of continuity that made something later make sense or simply just avoid spoiling it for myself.

DWF came up with a pretty good list, although I would add the Bionic Woman two -parter, "Doomsday is Tommorrow"to it.

As for "essential" episodes, the thing to remember here is that these shows were made when TV was largely episodic in nature, so there's very little continutiy from episode to episode. So, if you're concerned that you will miss important plot points, don't be. The continuity here comes from the fact that certain episodes in both series are direct sequels to others.

My favorites were the Death probes. The modified version made its way to heartbeeps. The BBC should have bought it for a super Dalek.

This is one of the things that makes me less of a fan of shows from this time period. I am aware that there is little continuity but I wanted to make sure I hit the high points and didn't miss anything that set up something later, such as a sequel episode.

American television in the next decade started to trend away from the procedurals (Miami Vice anyone?), which I enjoy, but is nothing compared to the post-Buffy method of television we take for granted today (a natural evolution of the things DS9 did).

Well, the trend toward serialized drama outside of soap operas began with Hill Street Blues, of course. And Babylon 5 probably deserves at least some credit for pioneering the season-arc structure that's become standard now.

DWF included Tomorrow is Doomsday is this a different episode with a name so similar as to be confusing?

No, he just got the name wrong.

Oh. I didn't see that. No, the correct title is "Doomsday is Tommorrow". It's a 2-parter. DWF must have just rememebered wrong or something.

I always forget about Babylon 5 because I never ended up watching it, mostly for the same reasons I missed out on the bulk of DS9 and Voyager. Recently moved out on my own and had the whole "adult" thing to deal with and all that. Thankfully, I got over all that.

Ah, okay. There's no telling since this was the seventies and all. Those wacky seventies writers...

Don't knock 'em. TV writers had talent back then.

I'll be getting onto this once I finish season 4 of 24. That show is so damn addicting...
