I remember "Esau" from Voyager's "Equinox".Did they call him Esau in the episode? I didn't remember that he had a name, but it's good enough for me, gotta call him something. I had a definite eerie feeling about those two guys. They are either immortal antagonists, or aliens.
I've seen that actor everywhere - he was briefly in Prison Break and had a major role on Deadwood. And Jacob was on Dexter. Gotta admit that having recognizable actors is a bit distracting, but hey I guess they gotta work.

I can easily sign on to Esau being Lostzilla.
I just occurs to me he kills those that don't fit into his loophole plans or have the mark of Jacob. I'll have to ponder this a bit more. What do you all think?
The way Jacob & "Esau" spoke....it sounded like modern speech, despite the Black Rock sailing in...i wonder if they are also part of a time loop...where they are from the present/future, but are the beginning of the weird interctions with the Island & the rest of the world.
Someone on this board suggested Jaboc sent the 70s Losties back in time to set in course the events of the incident, and that this is Jacob's answer to Esau's "loophole." Interesting theory. We have nine months to stew in it.THe last big mystery I think is, what exactly is the Smoke Monster in relation to Esau and why's it so mechanical, and some of the intracacies/point of the time travelling, what role do the time travelling Losties have with what's happening in 'present day'?
