Episodes you refuse to watch

Harbinger (but I would like to see the Reed/Hayes fight again though!)

What is it you dislike about this episode?

I can't speak for this guy but I didn't like the setup to make T'Pol jealous. Trip and Amanda are supposed to be friends but we never see the relationship develop or any followup. It's a shame because I like Amanda and she was wasted as a plot device. Sorry but while being from the same area might be a great icebreaker, friends it does not make. The episode would have been a complete trainwreck if Connor and Jolene didn't have good chemistry.

I never watched A Night in Sickbay and the spoilers scared me from trying it.

I wouldn't actually refuse to watch any (I'm sure I'll be watching them all again in the future), but the ones most easily and painlessly skipped are:

Vanishing Point
Precious Cargo
Extinction
TATV

You wouldn't refuse to watch TATV again?

I hated that episode where Hoshi is sent to as translator to some random guy in a castle and he "kidnaps" her to be his wife... I found the whole thing lame, and does very little to further the overall plot of the series, or further her character. It's like they couldn't think of anything else to have a "Hoshicentric" episode.

This was a problem with some ENT episodes, when they would have three or four separate story arcs, some good, some duds. The Trip/T'Pol element of Harbinger is embarrassing, but the pod and alien they find adrift in altered space is a really cool sci-fi story, and Reed's conflict with the MACO is lots of fun, if slightly silly.

(For those counting lines, in Harbinger Hoshi only gets three lines while Travis gets nine!)

It's a poor episode, but it's not nearly as irritating as Precious Cargo or Extinction. And it has some points of interest in the way it diverges from "proper" ENT.
Look at it this way: if you don't rewatch TATV, you don't get the joy of starting another rant thread about how terrible it is. :)

We'll have to agree to disagree on that. Extinction was a pointless episode but it was sprinkled with a few good scenes (Trip gifting T'Pol with peaches). I think Precious Cargo would have been much better if they got a better actress to play the princess. Although I have to say that the jealousy angle of Harbinger would have worked better if they brought back any one of Trip's old flames. Including the princess. Amanda Cole, by the way, is just one example of how Season 3 often drops in a storyline out of nowhere and never picks up on it again. That would also include T'Pol's drug addiction. I don't remember anything about Vanishing Point (or if I ever watched it).

TATV is still irritating after all these years. I've never seen anything so disrespectful of the cast and characters. I'm sure you saw my complaints about this in other threads so I won't repeat them here.

I did like Hoshi standing up for herself and the crew in the episode where she gets kidnapped to be some guy's wife. Even if it was ripped off Beauty and the Beast and didn't further the Xindi plot.

Hoshi feels useless and unnoticed, uses the transporter, believes she is vanishing from reality (turns out it was a delusion while caught in the buffer). THIS IS A METAPHOR.

lol! :guffaw: Are you counting lines on every episode? That would be an interesting tally! Especially since I rewatched Precious Cargo and was finding myself annoyed at how many lines the guest stars get in comparison to the regulars. Especially in this episode (Terra Nova being another that comes to mind, but Reed was involved pretty well in that one so I don't get too upset!)

There are no episodes of Enterprise I refuse to watch. "These Are The Voyages" sucks, however. Good god, it is shit.

TATV, I don't think I need to go into why I will not watch this one...

And I'm also not a fan of Extinction, one I'd think to skip more times than not, would have to be in the right mood to see it.

Doctor Who. Any of it. Who is this titular doctor, you ask? I don't care. Not one tiny bit.

There are no episodes I refuse to watch, because that messes with my Series Marathon OCD. ;)

However, watching TATV is always painful. Precious Cargo requires a certain... mood to enjoy it. And Shuttlepod One is really boring when you know how it ends.

I started watching the series with a friend a few days ago. Tonight we got to "Unexpected". I seriously considered skipping it, because I hate it, but remembered that a few episodes in the future reference it, so decided not to. The good news is I think my friend actually liked it. She laughed a couple of times anyway. The bad news is that I still hate it. Ugh and the next one is "Terra Nova".

Save me, Jeffrey Combs.

Yep, there's at least one lengthy reference in "Oasis" where T'Pol further derides Trip for fraternizing with the alien engineer in "Unexpected" and reminds him what it led to. I'm pretty sure she brings it up again in another episode too.

I don't know if "Terra Nova" is better or worse than "Unexpected". At a certain level, it really doesn't matter. But at least "Terra Nova" is simply boring and doesn't make me hate any of the primary cast.
