Episode Titles

How about japanese-style episode titles then? There are shows that have episode titles like: "Mystery of the Sleeping Sickness, Defend the Loving Hearts of Maidens" or "The Glitter of the Stars that Call Eachother! Haruka and Michiru Join in the Battle". (Both are titles from "Sailor Moon"..translated from japanese. The show tended to have overly long descriptive episode titles which often spoiled the whole big plot point of the episode.)

"For The World Is Hollow, and I Have Touched The Sky"

One of my favorite ship names from The Expanse novels is "The Weeping Somnambulist" (a somnambulist being a sleepwalker), which was also a TV Series season 2 episode name and a ship.

It's just such a poetic name.

I wonder if “The Vulcan Hello” is simply a reference to the classic “Live long and prosper” salute or something else. Is it possibly related to Michael's childhood among Vulcans?

^ I seem to remember that at some point they started using it interchangeably as a greeting and a farewell.

Will we get our first episode with a Klingon title?

That is if episodes are titled at all.

Um...it had all of two titles taken from it: "Its Hour Come 'Round at Last" and "The Widening Gyre".
I think Mr. Laser Beam is just making reference to the fact that Andromeda really had some pretentious titles. I think there was a website or magazine back in the day that actually singled it out as the most pretentious episode titles on television.

So the pilot episodes are:

The Cage
Where No Man Has Gone Before
Encounter at Farpoint
Caretaker
Broken Bow
The Vulcan Hello

The last one looks really weird for some reason. Of course I probably said the same thing about Broken Bow and that turned out to be a great premiere.

DS9's was called Emissary

Yeah, it's not the most evocative title ever. But it does show a series focused more on interaction, understanding and, well, discovery that's just action and war.
