Episode IX Speculation and Discussion

My wife and I have tickets for Thursday at 6:30. I’m trying to keep my expectations in check. I’ll say it looks like a big movie with lots of action set pieces. It’s got a lot of ground to cover and I hope it can please on all counts.

I remember a time when New Zealand lagged behind by months for new releases. Now, we get them early! :D

Wow, it's really sad that children's hospices are even a thing.
It is nice to see him doing that though.

I understand. That said. if the STUDIO releases something on their own, that should no longer be considered a spoiler.. it's part of the marketing.. and the VF article IS pimped from the studio.. they calculate what they want to reveal and not reveal. otherwise anything can be a spoiler even if they release it

The Mandalorian is officially released by the studio - doesn't mean what happened in the last episode should be posted anywhere without a spoiler warning. I know people who don't even watch trailers or TV spots because they don't want to know anything before they see the movie, and I respect their wishes. Spoiler warnings are about basic respect for your fellow human beings.

Apples and oranges. TV is a different medium

So, you are basically saying that the picture of Luke in Vanity Fair that the studio approved to be placed in that magazine all those months ago was a violation of basic respect for other human beings? Also... they put that picture out and approved it, NOT ME .. they put it out.. It would be different for YOU if I had placed the leaked photos of the end of TROS out there.. photos which were not officially released.. you'd be correct.. but the photo of Luke was a part of their marketing. Therefore, not a spoiler.
 
I don't consider officially released material to constitute spoilers either, but if I'm told by a moderator to put discussion of a particular subject in spoiler tags, that's what I'm going to do out of respect.

most people know that novelizations are spoiler material obviously. Plus most novelizations for films now come after the films to prevent spoilers.
So basically you are saying that even stuff released by studios, like photos, could be spoilers, could not be, but you are leaving it up to individuals, and then blame the individuals for it if YOU think it's a spoiler? I mean, technically anything can be a spoiler so how is that fair.
Like they held back on baby yoda stuff.. but before the new show started i did see a black series off world jawa, I had no idea that jawas were in the show...
So it was a spoiler, but how do expect Hasbro, and other fans, to know what that line is?
 
I am going to spoil it for the lot of you!

After kylo goes on a school shooting he gets stopped by a band of ewoks using cute hjinks and brought before the resistance who uncover that kylo ren is being mind controlled by a revived snoke who is actually jar jar binks who turns out to be palpatine. Turns out jar jar binks was palpatine alter ego. Kylo then marrys Finn leaving a jealous poe to turn traitor and join the first order.

Rey by this point can kill people by just looking at them and blows up a billion star destroyers with the power of force woke. Turns out though the first order has a even bigger super weapon. The galaxy destroyer that is the size of a star and can shot black holes.

Rose tico though gives a long boring speech and the the crew of the galaxy killer along with reborn palpatine all kill themselves out of boredom of Rose's speech saving the day. Unfortunately Rose's speech caused all the resistance to kill themselves too leaving no first order or resistance. The hutts take over the galaxy and enslave everyone.

The end.
 
I know you were being sarcastic, but next time you do something like that, you might want to try to actually work in some characters and plot points we already know are going to be in the movie.
