Flying in Starfleet seems to be a quick way to die.Strength in numbers helps, and they definitely have that in their favor. I still wouldn't volunteer to fly one though.
Which really doesn't seem like a Federation thing to do.It does require an acceptance of horrific losses, however.
I don't know. they seem pretty good at losing ships in peacetime, let alone in wartime.Which really doesn't seem like a Federation thing to do.
But they're all named Enterprise.
There is nothing wrong with this, seeing as how we have had several auxiliary craft and one man craft shown in Star Trek, from the Academy trainers, to the Peregrine fight craft and Maquis raiders, which apparently had a variety of sizes.
I never understood the objection to such things.
And you call yourself a Star Trek fan and then have the audacity to throw around words like diversity...how dare you!?I should clarify that, i don't care about federation fighters, just pointing out how 'diverse' the fanbase can be.
Because it is for training?I like Anson Mount's tweet of the radiation accident shoot. Were the binders that say "Starfleet Training" visible in the shot? I'll have to rewatch.
Also, I'm curious why the training vessel also has "STARFLEET TRAINING" written on the wall...
Because it is for training?
It's a warning to any senior officers who come on board.Shouldn't that be festooned on the outside of the ship, not the inside though? Just like how (in the U.S. anyway) cars being driven by student drivers usually have decals noting this all over them to ensure that other drivers give them a wide berth.
Nah, it's on the inside so temporally-displaced officers can get their bearings quicklyShouldn't that be festooned on the outside of the ship, not the inside though? Possibly. Given how well Starfleet officers some times behave they might need the directionsAre flight simulators emblazoned with signs that say "FLIGHT SIMULATOR!!!!", as if you'd mistake them for the real thing?
Perhaps. I have no idea. Most of the time in Star Trek fan art and fiction I've seen plenty of starfighters across every time period for Trek.I take that as a Star Trek vs. Star Wars thing in fandom.
