The Doctor is gone, the Tardis has been destroyed, and the universe is collapsing. The only hope for all reality is a little girl who still believes in stars, as this series of Doctor Who concludes with an episode written by Steven Moffat.

The Doctor is played by Matt Smith and Amy Pond by Karen Gillan.

Doctor Who is simulcast on the BBC HD channel – the BBC's High Definition channel, available through Freesat 108, Freeview 50, Sky 143 and Virgin 108.

this assuming BBC dont have the primetime football game, that said based on the games before this, I think ITV will have the primetime game on saturday.

Wish I hadn't read that, thought it was just another synopsis for the final 2 eps. I mean, I figured that stuff was coming, just didn't expect it to all be covered in the first half.

Ugh, all this stuff about resets, holy cow, let's just watch the thing and see what happens first before jumping to conclusions.

The first nine words of the spoiler point to a reset button being absolutely necessary for future seasons. :D

I think the reset will just be for the Doctors/Tardis apparant demiose from the clues we have been given but the events of episode 1-12 will still have occured.

A soft reset.

Sounds like a loop all the way back to the 11th Hour....

Exactly.

The finale sounds intriguing, though the stars line is a little silly and makes no sense. But... the season has been well done so far, I'm hoping the ending is just as good.

just a thought but the doctor can't travel back on his own timeline but in the Weeping Angels two-parter we had a scene where the doctor didn't seem quite right, and was wearing his jacket which he'd only lost a few minutes earlier.

i don't believe this was a continuity error but then that implies maybe the moff has made an error and made the doctor go back into his own timeline...

unless... anyone think it's possible that the doctor in this scene is not the same doctor we've seen most of this series. could he perhaps be from the wrong side of the crack? would allow him to go back on his own timeline but then maybe i'm thinking about this too much
