The UI on the S31 ship we've seen through out the season has used these same computer screens, though we never got any close up shots like this.

The Shuttle Self Destruct screen also used a similar display.

Well the Red Angel is also giving them off, that's one of the reasons why they think it is from the future.

I didn't notice before how similar that diagram looks like a TNG shuttle.

The DSC Shuttle appears to be inspired by the Star Trek 5 shuttle, which was modified to be an Ent-D shuttle.

It really is a cool bit of almost period-relevant design. We get the TMP docking collar, the TOS movie overall design, the TOS control interface, the DSC nacelles, and some "real-world" grit with the cargo slings and whatnot. Plus it seems to be a prop construction marvel, filmable from the oddest of angles. There's an onscreen diagram of it in a couple of eps, prominent of course in "Light and Shadows" (on the corner of Stamets' display), that might show the exploded view of the prop as opposed to any exploded view of the fictional spacecraft...

Given we'll apparently learn the identity of the Red Angel this episode, I'm staying off social media for the next 24 hours.

If it turns out to be Burnham, make that the next few months...

I feel like the Trekbbs's Nuclear troll war clock is always at 30 seconds to midnight, tomorrow night might be what makes it tick over.


In regards to the Red Angel, My guess is it will be some random from the future and the Identity will be revealed via the sphere.

I'll be pretty pissed if Section 31 come along and are like 'The Red Angel is X' and then a exposition dump as to how they found out. Hopefully we'll be taken on a journey to discover who it is.
