Enterprise voted by fans as most underrated Trek show

Don't get me wrong. I like Voyager. I like all Trek and my counter was aimed at the statement "it's all about TOS, TNG and VGR". Voyager frequently is at the bottom of various fan polls. I don't see it getting any extra attention at conventions. Not nearly the level of TOS and TNG. From what I have seen DS9 gets much more love than Voyager. Around here DS9 seems to be considered the fan favorite.

I'm glad you like Voyager and DS9 TOS that it TNG and the VGR maybe it is counter statements I'm really not sure myself,,, and I have space Channel,.,. Which the DS9 Star Trek and all those other shows keep showing up,,, I can't really say because I have telus TV,,, I'm not even sure of the channels they are all at exactly,,, but if you enjoy the show like Star Trek or DS9 that's all you to know,,, no matter what their playing or how it presented,, as long as you liked the show,, then watch it,,, and if you don't like something turn it off,,,, either way it doesn't matter to me,,,

Enterprise is most'def the most underrated series in Trek...! At the time I remember thinking it was "okay" and big step up from the AWFUL Star Trek Voyager... But for what ever reason I never watched it religiously like I did TNG and DS9 when they were in their first run...until season 4.

My family and I are currently watching Enterprise and are loving it...! Sure there are few lame episodes, but on the whole Enterprise is awesome! I love the cast and the look and feel of the show. Seasons 3 and 4 really put it over the top for me...its a shame they weren't able to continue....

At least we got an "Admiral Archer" reference in the Star Trek 2009...lol

Star Trek is an awesome show,,, Amiral Archer is funny at the time,, watching the enterprise is a very good show indeed,,,, I'm glad you're watching it as a family,,,, even families can get together and watch this show,,,, even Janeway can be pretty funny at times too ,,,, for myself it's one of the best shows and seeing all the features in this show,,,

I found a very interesting place on the Internet,,,, it is called acacia fleet this is the place where you can go and make up your own character,,, name it,,, and that who you will be.... I'm having a lot of fun there,,,, and it's also Star Trek,,,,, if anyone likes to go there I think you'd have fun to.....

don't get too close you get electrocuted,,,,,

Certainly, season 3 is underrated - and season 4 - woefully overlooked as one of Star Trek's vintage seasons IMHO.

maybe is season three was underrated and season four was willfully look over but I believe they all had their intentions about being a good movie,,,, Star Trek will be here for a very long time even after they retire,,,, we will have to look more forward to the new guys that are entering the Star Trek,,, to make it even more continuing,,,, the way I see it,,, the younger the better,,,,

Pretty much agreed on this...the TV ratings didn't really tell the story.

a good story starts with the Arthur ,,,, Anthony Arthur starts publishing,,,, then they make the TV program,,,, and then it's put into a story,,,,,, and then the story is that either is good or bad,,,, and then the TV ratings good or a bad,,,, but this show is created,,,,, and that's how Star Trek was created by Gene Roddenberry,,,,, so long ago,,,,, in the hopes that we will continue to do with Star Trek,,, for future used, this is why I like Star Trek much,,,, from the Romans,,, to the cheron,,, and all those other made-up creature's,,, that Star Trek has made in the past and the future,,, and I cannot forget the biggest one the borg,,,, and if we keep on making up our own and characters,,,,,, from all the fans all over the world that loves Star Trek,,,,, as long as they keep on making it it will live on,,,,, thanks for TV and television and CD players comic books and book's,,, and anything else they can think of,,,, and we can't forget the old tape player's,,,, they also had Star Trek on it,,, these are the reasons why I like it,,,,, and if we tamp into the Arthur that's making that we can make our suggestion worth while,,,,,,

Yep. I agree. I used to think of it as a guilty pleasure, until I started watching 24th century Trek. Then I realized just how great ENT was. TNG, DS9 & VOY rely heavily on technology. Whereas I felt like ENT went back to the roots of Trek--characters, situations, etc without all the technobabble.

Definitely underrated. New people are discovering the show now, though.
I couldn't have said it better myself.

I caught the last half hour of a DS9 episode yesterday, and while it was decent in its own right, I found it far too straight-laced and aloof. I found it quite jarring and took me out of the story for a moment.

The conversations between the characters (at that point in time) were cold and dare I say it, unrealistic.

And as you said, they relied too much on tech, wheras on the good ol' NX-01 there are times when you have to get your hands dirty in order to get things done.

you are in absolutely correct with that,,, that is right you got a get your hands dirty to get something done,,, the technology is very important to,,,, today we wouldn't have computers or microwaves,,,, or things of that nature,,,, raygun and this is actually a medical thing today,,,,, even with the cell phone's is also technology,,, they also have something like that in Star Trek,,,, even today in Star Trek they have something else that doing the same thing,,, we might even see that in near future,,,, but technology is it,,,, those automatic doors you see today,,,, when Star Trek was first started,,,, the automatic doors was created by two people opening and closing the door,,,, now it's just a reality today,,,,, and that's why Star Trek and soul keen on technology,,,, because it's it and nothing is going to change,,,, except for technology itself,,,,

... but outside of that, it's all about TOS, TNG and VGR... So I'd say DS9 is more underrated. But that's my perception.

What is VGR? At first I thought VOY, but the statement excludes that. Voyager is the real outcast. At least ENT fans can be considered rebels. But Voyager?

What VGR is, you ask? A very common abbreviation for Voyager. And yes, outside of internet fan circles, that show has a rather larger fanbase. For most casual Trek fans I know, their history goes something like this:

(TOS - those who are old enough or enjoy the "retro") --> TNG ---> VGR ---> nothing (or, at best, STXI)

Neither DS9 nor ENT seem to have happened in the eyes of the masses. VGR has.

Really? Wow. I had no idea. All this time I assumed that since DS9 had higher ratings than VOY both in first run and rerun syndication, well, I thought that meant more people were watching DS9. But more people are really watching VOY? Thanks for clearing that up.

We just finished a family rewatch of ENT and I do have to say, it and DS9 probably have the smallest number of "skip" eps, at least in our family. So yes, I'd definitely call it underrated. For the general public you can defiinitely add DS9 to the underrated list as well, IMHO.

I was one ofthose who that Enterprise was a let down. But it's one of those shows that the more you watch the more you like. It grows on you, so now I think of it as a true Trek series!
