Writers Strike & Star Trek, A Possibility?
After 5 television series (702 episodes) 1 cartoon (22 episodes), and 10 movies, theres got to be a lot of scripts for trek episodes that were never used right?
Could this be an oppertunity for CBS to fill in some programming for the spring of 08? Or even Fall 08.
No doubt many of these un-used scripts could be adapted to Star Trek Enterprise, especially if handled by Manny Coto!
Many actors are currently out of work and or soon will be due to the writers Strike, so many may be able to reprise there rolls in the show!
CBS and all networks are scrambling for programming, most are turning to reality shows, they have been around for 7 years now, and most of us are getting feed up with them, so they will be a big bomb!
This would give Enterprise a excellent chance of taking off again, bigger than before, because everyone will be looking for something to watch!
So may all, please send a extra letter this month Dec 07 to Mr Leslie Moonves voiceing this Idea, the last writers Strike lasted 6 months affecting programming for parts of 2 seasons!
Points for letters to contain:
1. To Mr Leslie Moonves
2. with the writers strike your going to be needing programming.
3. After Hundreds of hours of Trek on TV (702 episodes)theres got to be a lot of un-used scripts that could be adapted to Enterprise.
4. Would work with Manny Coto in charge!
5. the last strike lasted 6 months and affected programming for parts of 2 years.
6. reality shows been aroiund 7 years, they are old and bound to flop!
7. folks are going to be looking for some shows to watch.
8. With nothing else goeing on (TV wise) the studios can have sets built in a few weeks (4or5) and be shooting just about as quick (5or6 weeks) we could see Enterprise hit the air waves by March/April 2008, maybe sooner? Or fall 08?
Lets Take advantage of this opertunity, and voice this Idea to CBS/Paramount!!!
