Enterprise on blu-ray

When is it coming out? Has anyone seen any announcements? Its the series most easily transferred to this format, I can't believe it hasn't been yet!

Last I heard, TNG may be next for blu ray upgrade, but its goin' to take some work.

I picked up season one of ENT the other day ($19.99 at Wal-Mart), popped 'Broken Bow' into my blu ray player, watched it on the sixty-inch flatscreen...and it looked pretty damn good.

Now to get the next three seasons for uber cheap...

It looks even better in true High Definition (I have 17 of my favoriite episodes DVR'd from the HDNet commercial free broadcasts.) Much nicer then the upscaled DVDs.

Since ENT is already in native high definition format, I don't know what CBS is waiting for as from what I read the HDNet ratings for the native HD broadcasts are good; and Paramount has acknowledged teh show has a following.

If you could point me to where you read this, I would appreciate it.

I'll be perfectly honest in that I don't have a link, but it was a time when Paramount/CBS was testing a way of it's own to deliver TV via internet with a defferent codec - and to do that test, they put Enterprise series episodes up on the internet.

In the text of that article a representative was asked 'Why Enterprise for this?'

Answer was: "The show has a following."
