Does anyone have a better image of the Enterprise-J than what is in the Ships of the Line calendar?
UMMMMMMMMM, Enterprise -J Did i miss something?

As far as I know we never saw any such shots, either in print or on the show.
I imagine this class is very much the "city in space" that the 1701-D aspired to be.
Meh - one torpedo up the ass without shields and any ship would be reduced to a rapidly expanding cloud of vapor and metal shards, anyway. Torpedo yields run into the dozens of megatons.Plus, I am not sue I'd want warp-plasma conduits and impulse engines - and a shuttle bay - all that close together - one torpedo up the ass (in an impulse vent - a section where the shields are already weak according to TNG) or plasma breech or impulse malfunction...and *KABOOM*..
Ever notice how much the Enterprise-J looks like the NX class? Obviously a sleeker, more advanced version, but still.
My theory is that the Ent-J as seen onscreen comes from a timeline where the war with the Sphere Builders drained a lot of resources, and thus starship design never progressed as far as it should. Thus the ship looks basically like an uprated NX class.
In the real timeline, where the Builders were defeated in the 22nd century and the Expanse is destroyed (in the J's timeline, the Expanse is about 1/4 of the galaxy), whichever Enterprise exists in the 26th century will probably look very different than this.
