Seems the boys from Supernatural spent a Christmas in a Broken Bow motel when they were children. The episode was on last night. Both Enetrprise and Supernatural share John Shiban as a producer/writer
Well of course, Broken Bow is a real place in Oklahoma. Whenever I see the Golden Gate bridge on TV or in film, I obviously think about Trek but it doesn't have to be intentional, unless there's a whale or two involved...
Shiban didn't contribute to Enterprise beyond Season Three. I often wonder what led to him leaving the show and whether he liked writing for Star Trek, compared to say The X-Files. Did he and Chris Black get squeezed off the show because of the lackluster direction Season Two took? Or just moved onto better shows by the time Manny Coto took over?
The only difference being that the Broken Bow the Winchester boys visited was in Nebraska, not Oklahoma. Broken Bow, Oklahoma, was actually named for Broken Bow, Nebraska.
Neat. I don't care about or follow that series, but it's nice to see little nods to ENTERPRISE eventually---sooner or later---make it into other movies and shows.
