Weren't there like, trailers and stuff last year?

CBS have been treating the international fandom somewhat… ahem… badly in recent months (what with the “Disco yanked from Netflix” disaster, Prodigy not being available anywhere in the first place etc etc), which is probably why it is a wise idea for them to lay low for a while regarding international fandom and celebrations and dates. I mean nowadays a lot of their Trek tweets pretty much get ratio’d into oblivion by angry international fans who feel like second class citizens compared to fans in the US (can’t blame them).

The day/month debate reminds me of this.

Funny, but there are indications that the "American" dating system is a continuation of the traditional dating that was used in England, like many things that are considered traditionally American nowadays.

I prefer the East Asian system myself. Largest to smallest makes it easier to keep things in order alphanumerically: YYYY.MM.DD.

So, dumb question here: do you speak that way as well?

Meaning, if someone asks me what the date is, I would say "January 18th, 2022."

If someone asks you the date do you say "18th January, 2022"?
From what I've heard, with UK English, the clearly enunciated form would be "the eighteenth of January," but in everyday speech the "of" gets abbreviated to a soft "uh" sound.
