bland really? it got more feature compared to the TOS original so i'm not sure what's ''bland'' about it
Bland as in uninspired. It's a mashup of NX-01 and TMP details applied to the TOS shape, with nothing new aside from the bifurcated warp nacelle pylons and squished profile.

The Kelvin movie Enterprises and many fan-made ones keep the basics but rearrange them in far more unique and pleasing (to my eye, at least) ways.

Dislike. It looks like an Apple Store in night-mode. It's mainly the grey/black/blue of Discovery (an overused color scheme for 2010s sci-fi shows) and then someone threw a bit of red paint around to give it an Enterprise feel. And what's with the blinding lights everywhere? We got them in the reboot movies, on Disco and now on Enterprise. It's hazardous enough working on a starship without the added risk of blindness because ship designers wanted everything to look 2010s-level trendy ;)

I like it, there were a few issues with it being a bit too shiny and reflective, but overall they did a good job with it.

it would be such a waste if it was only used for these 2 episode ;)

Exactly...I read an article where there was disussion of initially just green screening the bridge to keep costs down...and then they went completely to the other side of the spectrum, they built a full bridge and allegedly out of metal which suggests it's going to be around for awhile.

I say scrap the Section 31 series idea and go for the obvious Pike series.

I’m starting to wish it was the Trek09 set. Favourite reimagining of it
Blech. We don't need no Apple Store.
I like that Spock finally has his Spock Scope back.
Does he though? I mean, yes, there is a scope at the science station, but for some reason, they had Spock sitting at the engineering station. But I guess that's because visuals aren't canon, or is changing the seating arrangement a way to meet the 25% different quota?

Probably because he wasn’t technically on duty, and someone was already at the science station.

And the seating arrangement is the same according to the interview with the production designer. And you can see that in the show too.

There is a science officer at Spock’s station, there is a red shirt with an ear comm at the comm station. Number One was even in the right spot.

I don't know. If Spock has to sit at a bridge station, why shouldn't it be the one he's assigned to when on duty? At least then, if an emergency requires him to do something, he's sitting where he's most qualified to be. About the only real reason why they don't have him at the science station is because they want to save that for The Moment when we see shaved and uniformed Spock enter the bridge.

Is Spock Chief Science Officer in this? Perhaps the person sat at the Science Station was the CSO so had a higher right to be sat there than Spock did.
