This contest is all about those mismatched and/or unlikely couples we've seen in TV & Movies over the years.

No Sci-Fi (though I have one that springs to mind being in the middle of a Farscape rewatch) or Fantasy.

A loud-mouth bigot & a sweet, innocent woman. Very mismatched. Just not a mismatch we think about a lot of the time.

That they started out married is the difference.

I guess to me a 'mismatched couple' isn't one that stayed happily married for 30+ years, with the marriage only ending due to the wife's death. 'Mismatched' and 'complementary' are not the same thing.
