Okay here's mine. I can think of a lot of great female characters, but Neytiri is the only one whose life looks like a ton o' fun.
Not sure I'd actually want to be Sarah Connor, Ellen Ripley, Starbuck, Ahsoka Tano or Kira Nerys. Too many nasty robots/aliens/Sith trying to kill you/drag you to the dark side all the time, would get on my nerves.

Yeah, much better to have to translate obscure messages from God while awaitin' your arranged marriage & fightin' off a corporate stripminin' group of trespassers.
Hey, I dumped the arranged marriage (not that he wasn't a hotty too) in favor of the sexy new alien guy, kicked the corporate bastards' asses and killed the head bastard myself, and I get to fly around on a cool dragon-cat and have lots of steamy jungle sex on the most beautiful planet in the universe.

Avatar got released in theaters - twice! And has had two different DVD/blu ray releases. Its the highest grossin' movie ever. If you're the one person who hasn't seen it already, in the year since it opened, that's your own damn fault.

Don't bother, really. The visuals are GREAT but the story is just the same Whitey Saves the Noble Savage crap we've seen before. If you didn't catch it in the theater, you missed everything that was worthwhile about it.
someone told me the plot and i said 'oh, i saw that already. only it was called 'Dance With Wolves' and 'The Last Samurai'...
