Thanks for all the votes and the win in the Damn Kids contest. This one is all about what could have been, but wasn't.

One Hit Wonders. TV shows that never made it beyond the first season. Movies that never had a sequel but were set up for one. Books that never got beyond volume one. You get the idea. There's lots of fodder for this in the world of sci-fi so have at it.

Entries must be 140x140 at 140KB. The entry thread will remain open until sometime Friday night.

The Cape. I am assuming it won't get a second season. :(

NBC cut the original 13 episode order down to 10, and didn't even air the tenth episode on the network. And TVShowsOnDVD.com posted the box art for this summer's DVD release, and it's labelled "the complete series."

So, yeah, that's a safe assumption to make.

The mother of all "cancelled after one season"-scifi shows:

And no, "Galactica 1980" does not count!

Also, though I realize it technically had two seasons, some Twin Peaks:

^ I'll totally vote for Wonderfalls! Loved that show!

Anyway, here's my entry. The painfully short-lived revival of Night Stalker with Stuart Townsend as Kolchak, and Gabrielle Union. It killed me when they cancelled the series, and doing so after Part 1 of a two-part episode made it even worse! Loved the dark, creepy and sometimes disturbing X-Filesy cases featured on the show.

Absolutely, loved the show. Mira Furlan was a Succubus kinda critter in one the last episodes.

Can I be of assistance?

The giant Earthship Ark, drifting through deep space over 800 years into the far future.

Its passengers, the descendants of the last survivors of the dead planet Earth, locked in separate worlds, heading for destruction.

Unless three young people can save...
