ENTER! Miscellaneous Avatar Contest: Contest of the Rising Sun

Timelord79 (he/him)

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I remember we had a contest about the moon some time back.
This round is all about the greater of the two lights. :)

Show us what you can come up with for the sun.

You can interpret that how you like, it just has to feature the star of our own solar system and not be from movies, tv shows or other fictional media.

Usual avatar rules apply.

I leave it open till the end of the week.

Here is my opening entry:

Well, now I’m torn. I was going to post this:

Which I took the other morning during the eclipse. But Kai already covered the eclipse, which leaves me choosing between these two:

Sunset over the Nile or

Sunset at Land’s End.

Opinions?

Just to add to the confusion...

Out of the two sunset ones, I like Land's End the best. But I really like the eclipse one too.

Out of those three, I think I like the sunset one the best.

I can already tell this one's going to be a difficult vote!

Took this one a few months ago while actually trying to photograph a partial eclipse. The eclipse shots didn't turn out, but I was quite pleased with how rich the sunset looked:
