All true, but so far the only evidence of that (salty) ocean inside the moon is vapor spewing from the surface

Not unlike a cloud is evidence of water on Earth or ice is evidence of water on the Moon - not entirely liquid though, is it?
But, hey, just because it's invisible to our instruments (the naked eye) doesn't mean geysers aren't spewing the liquid stuff too!
Oh, and you've definitely got a vote from me because of the beauty of the image (the SciFi'ish connection just cements my love of that av)
