The theme for this week is the letter M. *cue Sesame Street music* Anything starting with the letter M (let's keep it work-safe, please) that is NOT media-related.

I recall a Discovery Channel series, is that image from 'We Built This City' or is it from somewhere else?

I don't know if Discovery used the same image, but I originally read an article about Manhattan in 1609 vs 2009 from National Geographic a couple years ago.

Hey, I even underlined NOT media related in the OP. Both of these are from TV shows. If you want to use Mary Tyler Moore, use a picture NOT from movies or TV.

This thread reminds me of the old Misc. Writing Contest we had a while back, when in one round I was asked to write a letter of complaint to the people who make M&Ms without using the letter M anywhere in the piece. I remember coming up with the word "otherfuckers" that time. I think I eventually came second in the final round of the contest, IIRC.

We should totally do another writing contest.
