This week's contest is about Mythological creatures, creatures of legend and folklore: dragons, fairies, trolls, leprechauns, unicorns, even Nessie and Bigfoot.

Mythology is everywhere and I did think about digging up something local and showing you all just how mad the Danes are... but you'd probably just make it into a cartoon for your kids like you did with the last part of our mythology you got your hands on...

I chose the most shy animal of the highlands to be the centre of attention in my entry: the illusive Haggis:

trekkiedane, how about the Midgårdsormen? That might be a cool avatar and nobody could make fun of it. Or a Nisse? The Julenisse, perhaps? And Sætternissen is very active on this board, particularly in my posts
