I - Surak miss Admiral Shran's entry. He hasn't posted since Feb.28th. Is the Andorian Mining Consortium running from something? Hope he is alright.

star has been known to drop in and out on occasion. as for Shran, i did hear something but i dunno if its true and i wouldn't want to tell tales.

Admiral Shran was banned, but I'm not going to go into why. It's too bad, I miss his contributions in the ENT forum, too.

I am so sorry to hear that. The blue admiral is such a kind and gentle soul and there are such a-holes on the other forums who should be banned and never are.
But I guess that is life......

Yes, I also deplore the fact that Admiral Shran was (injustly, IMO) banned. He always had positive contributions to make to this board, and it's too bad.

Yup, one of my favourites.

Mine too. My favorite thing about it is the way Archer looks on the Bridge wearing his off-duty clothes. Well, just (half-)kidding, the whole mystery of who those cold-shouldered aliens are, plus Reed and Tucker working together on the phase canons, topped off by the quirky insight into Malcolm's personal life all make this one very exciting episode.

My only issue with the episode is the aliens were just random Aliens of the Week that we never saw or heard about again. Hindsight being 20/20, it would have been cool if the aliens had been Romulans instead. I was about to suggest that the aliens who boarded Enterprise in the middle of the episode could have been Remans (serving as shock troops for the Romulans, and thus keeping continuity intact), but "Silent Enemy" came out in January 2002, and the Remans weren't officially introduced until December 2002 when Nemesis was released. Then again, I believe Nemesis was filming when "Silent Enemy" was produced, so it might have been possible to include a couple of guys in Reman makeup if TPTB had wanted to. That could have served as a neat little preview for the Remans' appearance in Nemesis later in the year.
