Hi, I'm Nephtys59 from Italy!
I'm 45 years old, and fond of science fiction since I was a child.
My favourite authors are Isaac Asimov (love the robots and the foundation cycle) and Anne Rice (Lestat is my favourite character!).
I love Science Fiction also on the screen, so I've seen a lot of movies and TV series, like UFO - Space 1999 - Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Sg1 and Star Trek!!!
Spock and Data have been my favourite characters for a long time, but then I knew Captain Archer ... and now he's my hero!
I'm an Archer/T'pol fan ... I like them because they give me so much emotion. I'm very romantic, maybe because I'm from Italy, huh? ;)
I love music a lot and I'm fascinated by cats (I've got 3!).
My job (and my hobby too) is about computers, I give technical assistance.
I'm glad to participate in this forum, I found there are very interesting discussions.
Bye! :)

I too got overexcited and started posting before coming to this thread :)

I'm a trekkie fan since about season 2 of ST:TNG. All my friends in high school were trekkies and I wouldn't have made it through without them. Even if a day should come to pass when I would not watch the show (which it never will) I will always admire the positive vision of the future that trekkies seem to believe in (me included).

Trek: LOVE TNG. Love all other incarnations of Trek out of respect for TNG, but I really like ENT now!! I'm addicted. MUST HAVE MORE SEASONS or they have to develop a patch to help ween me off slowly. It will be easier on us all if they just make a few more seasons.

Interests: Butcher, baker, sock monkey-maker. Well, the last two, anyway. Writing, reading, figuring out how to get a better job. Archaeology, anthropology. Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Un-interests: reading poorly written papers (which I do a LOT), internet fights, digging my car out of the snow, hearing my boss ask, "did you get paid yet?" (Say what?)

^hehe, that was post 666

Anyway, I havn't been in this thread in a long time (or indeed at all), but I just want to say a big WELCOME! to all the newbies. :D

Danny, 33, NYC
remember watching Trek in the 70s along with Space 1999, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Sunday Afternoon Abbott & Costello movies, Kung Fu, Godzillas..., Buck Rogers & Battlestar Galactica.

Was excited when TNG came out, got into reading some Trek novels and then fell in love with the Grand Master, Mr. Asimov; never cared about the forehead issue ;); loved DS9 (moreso after season 3 began), lost much desire during Voyager (though it could've been because when you get older, you can't keep up anymore) :borg: Have watched Enterprise since pilot, but with four seasons, I'm sure there are a good dozen episodes I haven't seen.

I look forward to the rest of this season, as well as the return of 24.

Would love to time travel, go to GR, tell him to make "The Cage" into a feature, then get the upper hand in negotiating television rights, instead of letting the network dictate the show. Who knows? Perhaps it would've lasted five seasons.

P.S. I do enjoy some of Shatner's songs on "Has Been."

:)

I am Selek from Canada and am thoroughly enjoying Enterprise, especially the Vulcan Arc that just finished. I am a Soval fan mostly, but am enjoying Shran as well. T'Pol is too skinny for me, but IDIC. [image]http://members.shaw.ca/soval/Ambassador%20Soval%20Avatar.jpg[/image]

:D Hi!

Hello to everyone! I am 33, married, and have been an avid Star Trek fan since TNG's third season. My family watched a lot of TOS reruns in the seventies, but at that time I just wasn't interested. I did go see all the movies when they came out, but I appreciated them more as I got older.

Hi. I'm depressed & despondent --- pleased to make your acquaintence.

(Now bring back Christmas...right away... :scream: :()

Aww... don't be depresses. Christmas will come again. :)

I kept calling the local cable company until they finally started carrying UPN so I could see Enterprise. Finally, at the start of the third season, they started carrying UPN so I'm catching up.

I've been a huge Vulcan fan since 8/66.

I'm not sure if this is the proper place for this, but here's a pic of me in case anyone is interested. ;)

I spent three years in the Air Force Junior ROTC. Rose to the rank of first lieutenant with the flight staff position of Operations Officer. Boy...do I miss that old uniform.

YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIMILATED! :borg: :borg: :borg:

I myself spent three years in the Air Force Junior ROTC, rising from Airman(Basic) to Cadet First Lieutenant in less than two years. I held the position of Operations Officer in the flight staff...which meant I was the one who had to get everyone's records and crap in order for inspections, quarterly grades and visits from the official Air Force brass in VA and NJ.

Boy, do I miss that uniform.
