Re: ENT Forum Getting To Know You Thread
Well ok, I think I'll add my part to this.
I've followed Trek on and off thought out the years, and am currently looking forward to season 4 of Enterprise. I can't say that I've seen every episode of TOS, TNG, DS9 or VOY. I do however, try to see as many repeats of these shows as I can. My all time favourite Trek captain, well that honour belongs to James T. Kirk, tied for second Sisco/Picard. Favourite Enterprise character, I'd say it's now tied between Charles Tucker III and T'Pol, with Dr. Phlox rearing up from behind. Seems such a waste in not using Phlox more, when you consider all previous trek doctors seemed to have greater contributing rolls. Love the Trip/T'Pol pairing, and am looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. A great big HI goes out to all T/T'Pers out there -- you have kept me extremely entertained, and well informed and I thank you for that. I discoved TrekBBS back in Dec/03 and registered in June (I think). As you can see I'm not a huge poster, alot of you have posted the same things I feel so at the risk of repeating the same things... . In general I do agree with people who say that Enterprise could have been so much more, but "pissed" it away. I missed a good chunk of season 2, but came back towards the end. While I enjoyed season 3 I found the Xindi arc way to loooooong.
On a personal note I just turned 45 a few days ago (yikes

). I currently work for a property management company (tenants like to think I'm the evil Snidely Whiplash) I'm a former competitive rower (club level) and walked away from it after suffering serious burn out... when you workout twice a day, work full time in-between and do it for... ohhh say 8yrs it kind of wears you out. I still like to work out, however not at an elite level, and definitely not when Enterprise is on. Unfortunately I'm very competitive so I've been searching for a new sport to take up - adventure racing, fencing have caught my eye so who knows. I recently saw an article in the travel section of the paper about an all-women's surfing camp in Hawaii (Maui to be exact). So I've saved the acticle, and hope to one day head to the pacific and learn to surf... that should be good for a laugh. Love to watch Hockey (Go Leafs!) and Soccer (Go Manchester U!) Other activities I enjoy-- inline skating, ice skating, trail running, and in the winter trail running with snowshoes (discovered it this past winter). Actually it's funny that I do any winter activities at all considering I HATE WINTER AND I HATE SNOW. Go figure.
I enjoy a wide range of science fiction as well as non science fiction programming. Farscape is my all time favourite, and am eagerly waiting for Peacekeeper Wars this fall. Can't wait to see John and Aeryn put back together... jeez I almost had a heart attack seeing them disintegrate into tiny pieces.
Anyhow this is getting way to long, and at the risk of putting you all to zzzzzzzzzz I'll leave it at that!
Cheers
