Hm, what should I say about myself? My username (as you can see) is Chocolatequeen, but y'all can call me CQ. I've found it gets shortened anyway... :) I'm 25 years old and getting ready to (hopefully) start work on my masters in the next year, depending on finances.

My other favorite shows are Alias, JAG, and The West Wing. I write fic for all of them, including Enterprise. After I get that masters (or while I'm in the process) I'd like to write an original novel.

Hey kiddo, think I've seen you around The Logical Choice board... If not, just ignore my comment.

Either way, glad to have you aboard and hope you enjoy your stay. Let me know if I can do anything for you. I, uh, pretty much have the run of the place.

Yep, that would be me. Strangely enough, Chocolatequeen is not that common a username... :eh: So if you see it somewhere, there's a good chance it's me you're seeing.

There was something else I meant to include in my original post, and now of course I can't remember what it was.

Apparently, it still is. A few years back, we receive a late night phone call. My wife calls me over to the phone - it's my sister calling. Fearing the worst, her first words are: "Don't worry, nobody died or anything." The news was actually bigger. My alma mater had just defeated Texas A&M in a football game at Cajun Field. She told me the fans poured on to the field after the game and hauled down the goal posts!

OMG, I remember that! When the Vermilion came out the Friday after the game, it had this little box on the front page that said "A&M: What We Broke," with a list of all the broken (and stolen) equipment. There was some weird shit on that list. Who knew back then that Jake Delhomme would wind up in the Super Bowl?

Hi my name is Ian I reside in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I'm 21 and currently attend school at the University of Toronto. I just recently got accepted into Medical School (Yay me)and first became a Trek fan when I watched the TNG episode Q Who? at the age of 6 of course me being the type of person I was back then, I sincerely believed that star trek was real and that there really were ships and stations in space. But then my father broke the bad news to me and my whole world came crumbling down. I would like to say that Dr. Crusher was a huge inspiration for me and she's also the reason I pursued science. I'm also a huge fan of Buffy, Angel, CSI and most recently Stargate SG-1. I do frequent the forums everyday but I rarely ever post. I'm more of a reader than a poster :).

Hello all

I'm new here. I've been watching Trek really since there were repeats on a local station here in LA back in the 70s. I do actually remember TOS on NBC in the late 60s but it was on at 10pm so I had to be in bed most of the time. lol

I remember getting "hooked" watching a repeat of "City on the Edge of Forever" around 1975 or so.

Over the years I've followed the show and here is my order of favorites:

TNG
DS9
TOS
Enterprise

Unfortunately, I absolutely HATED Voyager. I try not to discuss it as I will probably make other people mad.

My other favoite shows:

The Simpsons
That 70s Show
Law and Order
Any NHL hockey game.

So...there ya go! :)

Dan, from Cleveland, Ohio (USA). Fan since I was in the sixth grade when STNG premiered. I was hooked ever since. DS9 (IMHO) was the best trek ever. Also a big fan of Andromeda, B5, Enterprise, SG-SG1, etc.

I'm Peter. I live near Boston, Mass with my wife Rebecca, and I program web pages in Perl for a living.

My first Trek experience was when ST:TNG debuted in 1987. I was in third grade at the time, and I've been watching it ever since. My trekkie-ness was at its peak during middle school and high school - that's when I bought and read all the novels, technical manuals, schematics, went to the conventions, etc. After starting college, I simply couldn't find the time or the motivation to keep it up, on top of the fact that there wasn't anyone there who was even vaguely interested in Trek. I still consider myself a pretty solid Trekkie, though.

TNG is my favorite of the series, while IV and VI are my favorite movies. I was not much of a DS9 or Voyager fan, but Enterprise has managed to hold my interest for three seasons, despite my initial revulsion over its opening theme and sequence. ;-)

I actually made a side-trip on a recent vacation just to take a photo of the "Cetacean Institute" in "Sausalito" from ST:IV. ;-) (As you may know, it's actually the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, quite a ways south of San Fran) We also visited Golden Gate Park but didn't see any Klingon battle cruisers (maybe they were cloaked?), and just where is Starfleet HQ anyway? Unfortuntaely we didn't have time to look for any nuclear wessels. :-(

I'm glad to have found this forum to help me keep up on Trekkie-dom and discuss with like-minded fans!

I’m in my 50’s and have been watching Star Trek off and on since it aired on NBC in the late 60s. The only Trek iteration I didn’t particularly care for was Voyager because of all the just plain weird alien crew members. To me, Trek is about a human crew going into space and doing whatever/something interesting. Dealing with aliens along the way is fine, but because of the limitations of TV and budgets it usually isn’t done as well as in novels and SF magazines. In most Hollywood science fiction, aliens are never really alien anyway, but just metaphors used as props by the writers. I don’t like most television SF, and the only other series I have ever watched (besides Trek) with any enthusiasm was Stargate SG-1 and The Outer Limits when it was on Showtime. Babylon 5 was OK, but for some reason I missed most of it. However, I am looking forward to Battlestar Galactica, I was amazed at how well done that show was. Every now and then, the Sci-Fi channel actually does something on their own that is worthwhile.

Somewhere in another forum I posted my feelings about Star Trek (all of it), but it generally applies to almost anything on TV. 50% of it is pure crap, 25% is acceptable if you have nothing better to do, 22% is really good, and the last 3% is just awesomely magnificent. I watch Trek for the last 25% and manage to sit though the rest of it.

To be frank, I enjoy watching all the hollering and screaming in the forums, the attempts to make sense out of the nonsense, and the amazing theories that people come up with almost as much as I do watching the show itself. The devoted fans of the Star Trek universe are sometimes more entertaining than the shows. And I mean that in a good way, as I am been to a few conventions. And I have a engineering cut out poster of the Enterprise-D in my office at work.

^Welcome aboard. Please don't be discouraged by your lack of PM's - due to heightened security post 9/11, this BBS requires new posters to pass through it's security checkpoints and metal detectors. Please hold your hands striaght out to your sides while Top41 scans you for concealed scripts, weapons, and Ashton Kutcher's address.

Nah - they do require you to have 100 posts in to activate PM's though. Welcome aboard.

Hi Enterprise Fans, love the show but unfortunately I have only seen the first two seasons. The third will only be out Next May 2005. So I`m trying to stay away from this board as not to spoil it for me-self

A little about my self. I live in Africa and I catch a elephant to work every day, I`m 27 and have just finished paying of my labola for wife (4 cows and a goat,) I have a pet lion living in my garden and a monkey who does the dishes in the morning.

Hi, Dragoncait here, signing up for yet another board. I was sure I'd done this before, but since signing onto another board or list amounts to a call for RL to come & smack me with a ton of work, I probably never got to post a single message.
Been a Trek fan since TOS was new, and generally a SF fan since about the same time. Live & work in NYC. Other major interest - Irish & Celtic music.
That's enough, right?

I'm Kat--that's both my username and real name (well, nickname). I was here a few years ago and recently came back and discovered my account had vanished, so I reregistered. I'm 21 and live in NH. I work in a bookstore, write, and am hoping to start library school soon. I read and do crafty stuff (especially knitting). My boyfriend got my into Trek a few years ago, and I've watched Enterprise since the beginning--am now trying to catch up on the other series via Netflix.

I never got around to posting here...

I am Jetfire. I am 26. I enjoy long walks on the beach and quiet evenings at home...Ladies? :(

Anyway, my favorite Trek series in order are; VOY, TNG, ENT, TOS, DS9. Favorite ENT Characters; Travis Mayweather and Hoshi Sato. Other shows I like are; Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Smallville, Joan Of Arcadia, Angel(S5, One Tree Hill, X-Files and others I cannot remember.

If you want to give me a call; the number is 1-555-Jetfire! :p
