Hello! Im new to the BBS boards! I,ve been lurking around for a week or so! I wanted to join a board with intelligent people, Ive been to a few, that are all bashing ( Ent and each other), and you all seem to get along so nicely!!!
I hope I'll fit in here!! I love the pics you post here, there great!! :D

Iam 24. I started watching Trek in the 80's when TOS was in reruns, I was always impressed with Spock as a child, he was so smart and not afraid to be different! I like all of the series each for different reasons!! :) And I cant wait till the Enterprise season premire this week!!!
welcome on in!

Hya to all

Well I finally caught up and will be following Ent every saturday/sunday probably, so I'm still on some lag, but I can now finally look around and know what the hell you people are talking about.

Anyway, me = AA ;)

And I'm totally enjoying Ent at this moment. Season 3 kept getting better and better, and I'm expecting next week's epi to awe me bigtime :D

Dearest! You finally came here officially! Glad to see you around AA!

*hugs* :D

I feel very on top of the world now ;)

Hi Y'all

I've been reading the BBS since January, and finally decided to join in. I'm 48 , married and live in San Antonio, Tx along with cats, dogs and fish. I design and write investment training for a large bank. I've been a Trek fan since watching TOS as a kid (ok...I confess, I watched Gilligan's Island sometimes too, I was a kid, forgive me . It was on opposite, does anybody but me remember that?)

How?! How has this thread gone unnoticed by me until now? I should get more sleep. :(

I am 23 years of age and I live with my girlfriend and homicidal maniac of a cat in groningen, the nicest city of teh netherlands (save for Amsterdam ofcourse, but I wouldn't want to live there). I have been into Trek for over a decade now and I love all five shows. My favourite is DS9.

When I'm not working or watching star trek, I am occupied with music. I am an absolute musicnerd. Raiding various record stores, writing reviews, sharing experiences on the net and ofcourse listening to lots of tunes. My favourite genres include old progressive rock, (psy)folk, extreme metal, (free) jazz, avantgarde, hiphop, experimental electronic music / idm and various forms of traditional (world) music.

And oh yeah, I love beer. :D

And now I'm gonna read nine pages worth of little biographies. ;)

Yellow Rose and Mr Bungle - welcome both (although Mr Bungle isn't exactly new around here )!

AA sweetie, you ARE adorable so how could you be anything but number 1? :D

happily wanders off to spread some sunshine elsewhere :D

Hi, I'm Towerwatcher. Long time reader of these boards. Female, mid thirties. Different from every other Enterprise fan, apparently, for loving the first season, liking most of the second and growing disillusioned with the third. I've not seen SF1 yet, although I have access to a copy, (ahem - looks round furtively). Right now the fourth season looks to be more of the same, the Archer and T'Pol show. I liked Trip and Archer's friendship much, much more and wish they'd bring it back.

stumbles in for a quick peek

Lo and behold! Yet another assimilation!

Towerwatcher, you're most welcome! :D

Angel dear, anything for you! :D

Ok, can I ask you something then, are you more the TNG type, then for instance the DS9 type?

Meaning you dislike storyarcs and prefer the single epis? :D

Don't think I've posted in here. Name's Steven. Same RL name too. What a coincidence, eh? ;)

20 years old, live in Manitoba, Canada. Computer science student (at the moment), enjoy video games, Trek (duh), and reading.

Don't expect to see me around here much. Chances are I'll only pop in to give my thoughts on a new episode once in a while. I can be found in other areas of the board, usually DS9, Misc, and the new AL. :)

*pops out*

Hi Steven !! :)

*waves*

I've seen you in the misc from time to time. Hope to see you around some more.

I liked TNG and DS9 about the same, that is, I made a bee-line to watch them but wasn't fanatical. Voyager I have caught now and again. I'd never go out of my way to watch Voyager, but if it's on, I'll watch. Enterprise was the first show I went crazy over since I had a crush on Spock, Kirk and Checkov as a kid.

I don't mind arcs, in fact, I enjoy very much getting to the end of an episode and having something to finish up next time. Raises the anticipation. My disillusionment with Enterprise came with the pointless destruction of Trip as a character. He was supposed to be first officer, at least, Archer said in Broken Bow he only needed a doctor and and science officer to have a full crew compliment and Trip is the only Commander. Trip came into Archer's ready room with T'Pol in season one, (which provided an interesting and fun three-way dynamic), and Archer went to Trip when he needed a shoulder.

Series Two, suddenly Trip is dropped from the ready room scenes leaving us with show after show of dull bickering between Archer and T'Pol. Cogenitor was written, as far as I can see, as an excuse for Archer to drop Trip as both a command officer and friend. Shows like North Star and Chosen Realm only confirmed to me how Trip has been pushed back. The Archer/Trip friendship was the heart of Enterprise to me. I liked T'Pol before her decision to abuse drugs. Now I find her character distasteful. She has many fans here, I know, but for her actions she should be removed as first officer and Trip replace her. I cannot enjoy the show while she remains XO. Star Trek should be above a nod and a wink to drug abuse in my opinion.
