Ensign Wallace

Looks like he was pretty indecisive when it came to the command and operations divisions.

TrekMovie.com is reporting on a sort of online trivia game called 20Q that's developing an ST edition, except it's a backward trivia game where you think of an entity from Trek and the computer plays 20 Questions to try to guess it (heaven knows why). The article says it's surprisingly good at guessing obscure trivia. So I went and tried it out to see if it could guess Darien Wallace, and I totally stumped it. :D

I did that too, Christopher! I gave up before it did, though...

Goodness, but Wikia's new look is terrible.

Yes, we're not really happy about it, either. :(

For what it's worth, you can log in and change the layout back to "Monobook" (under "Preferences" -> "Skin"). Make sure to disable the option "Let the admins override my skin choice." for full effect.

Wookieepedia piloted the new look several months ago, and they actually posted a notice on the front page explaining how to override it! So I didn't have a problem once I logged in, thankfully.

Dunno who this Wallace guy is, but he sure is cute.

Actor/extra/stand-in (and Data "hand model"), Guy Vardaman, of course, became Richard Arnold's offsider in his role as Star Trek Archivist. When Arnold was fired after Gene Roddenberry's death and the closure of GR's Star Trek Office, Vardaman continued to be an official liaison between the licencees and Paramount, mainly providing photo research.

It doesn't look that different to me. The left-side column's a little wider, but otherwise the colors and font look the same.

We tried to match the old style as closely as possible when modifying the new skin. Nice to hear that this worked for you. :)

To be precise, what we're definitely not happy about is the fact that, in combination with the skin change, Wikia (the hosting company) is starting to place advertisements in the content area, either in banner form or as a big box in the upper right corner, where typically a sidebar with short information about the subject is located. We tried (and still try) to incorporate that as much as possible, but it probably will be at least slightly distracting for visitors.

...OK, let's not derail this thread further. Back to Darien Wallace, Jack-of-all-trades. ;)
