End of Stargate Atlantis.

Just curious. If you were put in charge of writing the end of Stargate Atlantis and you were told that the Wraith must be defeated by Earth how would you have the ending? How would you have the Tau'ri/Atlantis team defeat the wraith?
What else would you add to the ending to make it awsome?

Earth is building ships with Asgard tech. The Atlantis expedition is finding Ancient ships and gadgets all over the Pegasus galaxy. I say this time they finish a series with a straight up, honest-to-god, no-reset-button, large-scale space battle with the friendly space-faring Pegasus races versus the Wraith.

I think that's something i'd like to see, a final epic battle between Humans and the wraith, the kind of battle to end all battles. You know the battle over Asuras? well i'm talking something 500 times greater.

I'd like to see Earth develop a new battlecruiser and send it to Pegasus as the flagship of a fleet of Daedalus class ships sent to take on the wraith once and for all with the help of newly aquired allies, I'd want each Daedalus class ship though belonging to the different Earth countries that were made aware of the Stargate program, i'd like to see one captained and crewed by Brits .
I even want to see Atlantis itself in space battling the wraith with a newly aquired stockpile of drone weapons and the city shield powered by 3 full ZPMs.

How cool would that be? Atlantis in space battling the wraith? Awesome. I don't think even the Ancients did that!

hmm i dont know why its needed to be defeated tbh..

but put the atrturos device on but get Area 51 and Sam to fix it... that means the wraith will be stranded.. not killing them.. keeping them about incase u can do a intrestign story..

also.. u cant kill ALL the Wraith.. like u cant kill all the Goa'uld.. or all the Ori followers.. people speak of the Goa'uld and Ori being defeated.. but how long till another snake sets himself up as a god and rises to power.. or enough followers of the ori (with their newly quired knowledge of gate addresses band together and start an uprising...

defeating ANY of the big 3 Stargate Enemies is like askign a writer of 24 to come up with a finale where Jack Bauer and CTU defeat terrorism..

Why not have the Gate program outed, finally. Deal with those consequences in a 2-part finale and leave the Wraith as an ongoing threat as the series ends. Leaves it open for movies.

I think one way to end the series without defeating the wraith would be for SG command to decide to bring Atlantis to the Milky Way, in the final episode they lift the city ship into orbit and fly it to the Milky Way and land it on a neighbouring planet to Earth leaving the Pegasus Galaxy to fight the wraith themselves.

But to be honest, I can't see SG command ever shutting down Pegasus exploration so the only way I see it is to have the wraith finally defeated.

Not really, without a queen they cannot reproduce. Destroy all the hive ships and kill the queens and the wraith will never replenish their numbers ever again. Then of course there is the retro virus.

It's simple , [the Atlatis team] discover the [Ancient device] which has the ability to [destroy the Wraith]. After a fierce battle, [the Atlantis team] activates the [Ancient device] and [destroys the Wraith].

After that, [the Atlantis team] goes fishing.
