A question, in Empok Nor a type of virus was in the air to make Cardassian crazy? Was the virus still around when Dukat came on Empok Nor?

It wasn't a virus. It was some sort of psychotrophic drug that enhanced their feeelings of xenophobia. And I think it was transmitted by touch instead of being airborne.

It did appear that there were only two soldiers left behind, and Garak got the last. The Cardassians didn't seem to have seriously considered defending the abandoned station with those supermen. It was just a gesture of spite, an inconvenience for inconvenience's sake. Two combat zombies was more than enough for that; and probably the prime motivation of leaving them behind was to get rid of them as easily as possible.

^ Interesting. I seem to remember in the episode that Garak said it would have been considered an honor by the three guards (one died) and that they were in one of the best Cardassian military orders from their insignia - then again that could have been in one of the novels.
