EM Drive To Receive Peer Review

I'm now wondering what flavour of dressing -- blue cheese?

ETA: I just wondered how the Woodward drive was getting along and whether its mechanism relates to the EM drive.

... chemicals... 3.14... elements would be similar to vegetables and dressing.
After an utterly pointless, stupid, brain-damaged and mocking post like that, which failed to learn anything or reach for new knowledge, don't expect me to give you any intellectual benefit of the doubt in the future like this misguided post of mine:
The age and experience of the writers of posts here can be a factor in how well things are researched, informed, and expressed. What is apparent is that there's an interest in things. I wouldn't want to turn away anyone who wants to be enlightened by science and perhaps needs guidance from mentors.
Way to make me an idiot for trying. My lesson learned.

Tried to warn ya.

70 days to Mars isn't an awfully long time.

Obviously you are creating banter because you know that I am correct.

Like I stated before, modern day rocket engines are based in a Universe where chemical reactions take place. Before there were any chemical reactions taking place to produce a thrust potential there had to be another form of interaction that moved particles around in the Universe.

Otherwise particles would never have come into contact with each other to create the Big Bang that resulted in the chemical processes at work in modern day rocket engines.

How does the EM Drive work in the cold of space though is a major concern. Does the process in fact increase in the thrust potential of decrease because of the temperatures of space?

Actually what I meant was how does the material that the EM Drive is built from effect the thrust potential of the microwaves? Will microwaves "leak" out of the EM housing causing less thrust or will space based microwaves override the thrust potential completely?

I also find it interesting that NASA has found out that microwaves are left over from the Big Bang meaning that microwaves would not have been present before the Big Bang either.

The big question is this.

Is it possible to "split" a microwave similar to splitting an atom to generate more microwaves at once from a single microwave emitter?

I need some clarity: so Roger Shawyer ponders thrust via radiation pressure, builds such a device based on his theory, the device seems to produce expected results, it's duplicated, though with varying amounts of thrust—all very minuscule—but the claim of others is that it's not radiation pressure at all, and that they don't know how it works?

I can research the opinions on why radiation pressure is not a candidate answer, but how can you build something that apparently works based on a theory that's incorrect. It seems akin to building an internal combustion engine based on the law of thermodynamics that violates those very laws in it's operation. I can understand if the tapered resonance cavity was built for something else, and thrust was discovered (though I assume you would have to some purposeful means to measure thrust in order to discover it), but from what I've gathered, the cavity was designed to produce thrust.

Is it the consensus that Shawyer built something correctly under false assumptions?

Weren't there some inventions that relied on phony theory, but ended up working anyway because of a different yet-undiscovered phenomenon? Kind of how the discovery of the Americas relied on phony geography. I seem to recall there were, but I can't recall which.

Although this would be stranger, because in this case it's based on too particular predictions of that phony theory.

NASA has already confirmed that the EM Drive has passed its peer review and does create a thrust without exhaust while not violating any of Newtons Laws.

The link above discussed how solvents can be heated evenly by microwaves.

I wonder if the effect that generated thrust for the EM Drive has to deal with the microwaves effecting other particles it comes into contact evenly across all parricles that would generate a lot more reaction thrust that is taking place at the quantum level of interactions?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiation_pressure

Radiation pressure is the pressure exerted upon any surface exposed to electromagnetic radiation. Radiation pressure implies an interaction between electromagnetic radiation and bodies of various types, including clouds of particles or gases. The interactions can be absorption, reflection, or some of both (the common case). Bodies also emit radiation and thereby experience a resulting pressure.

The forces generated by radiation pressure are generally too small to be detected under everyday circumstances; however, they do play a crucial role in some settings, such as astronomy and astrodynamics. For example, had the effects of the sun's radiation pressure on the spacecraft of the Viking program been ignored, the spacecraft would have missed Mars orbit by about 15,000 kilometers.[1]

This article addresses the macroscopic aspects of radiation pressure. Detailed quantum mechanical aspects of interactions are addressed in specialized articles on the subject. The details of how photons of various wavelengths interact with atoms can be explored through links in the See also section.

The microwaves must be interacting with other radiation to create a forward momentum.

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/mod2.html#c3

There must be a value in the EM Drive that creates a rotating and torsion effect that other radiation interacts with to create forward momentum. Basically the microwave field would be similar to the wheels on a water wheel for a grist mill. When water is added to each bucket the wheel rotates.

The more water that is added to the bucket means more weight is present that turns the wheel. The larger the bucket and the speed of the stream filling the bucket means the buckets are filled at a faster rate causing the wheel to turn much faster. The torque of the wheel turning is then converted into energy that is used to turn the heavy grist stone that crushes the wheat, barely or corn, etc. into a fine powered.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microwave

Basically if you have a large barrel, the EM Housing and were to "swish" the water, the microwaves, around the inside of the barrel in a pattern where the most pressure of the microwave swish is exerted on the front inside of the EM Drive housing without interacting with other surfaces that would negate a forward momentum, the EM Drive would show a trust without showing any exhaust.

What also might be happening is that the EM Drive is causing particles to phase in and out of existence causing the electrons or particles at the quantum level to jump to another level that would increase the energy level output.

Quantum tunneling generated by a magnetron? Microwave ovens as net-positive power generators - who knew?

Shouldn't the designer, in having designed it, be able to definitively explain how/why it works? It's a very specifically shaped and designed machine, yet the solution remains illusive.
