I can see that. It probably wasn't strictly "necessary" but I enjoyed it and thought the character interactions elevated it. I liked Jesse's run ins with Forster, Todd and that guy he split the take with. Plus, some cool rides and unexpected (at least for me) cameos. Now I just need to get one of those Captain Kirk gaming chairs that Skinny Pete and Badger had.
