Ed Reimers, Voice of Allstate, Trek Guest Star Dies at 96

Ed Reimers, the original voice of "You're in good hands with Allstate" for 22 years, has passed away at 96.

His was a very famous voice in the golden years of television, and he appeared as Admiral Fitzpatrick in "The Trouble with Tribbles".

Reimers also made a memorable appearance in the TOS blooper reels. While filming his "viewscreen" appearance in TTWT, someone tossed a tribble to him. He caught it and, mimicking the famous Allstate logo, held it out and deadpanned, "You're in good hands with tribbles."
