His name was Kol. Some reviews said he was from the House of Kor, but he doesn't mention his House name in the episode, so I'm not sure if that's a mistake or potential spoiler. The dialogue implies that Voq may have been born to Kol's House (or that he has outcasted "vermin" similar to Voq, at least), so he's potentially a cousin or something to Kor (who incidentally, is the "son of Rynar" unless they retcon that).
But we do see the House of D'Ghor (led by a woman!) and the House of Mo'Kai become followers of T'Kuvma. Some say that T'Kuvma might be a contraction of the kuvah'magh (Klingon messiah) from Voyager.
Ahh, I see she has all the classics!
Well, not *all*. She's apparently missing the much more rare "Volume I" of "The City on the Edge of Forever". I hear Scotty's a drug dealer in that one!
Something I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet, Michael's story about the Vulcan Hello mentions the planet H'atoria, which was the planet Worf was governor of in AGT.

That comes from Kenneth Mitchell (who played Kol). He says that Kol is a member of the House of Kor.

Well to be fair, it is an andorian military academy, they’re a pretty martial race.
Looking back, it does make some sort of sense. Kor does not seem like the type who would go along with T'Kuvma's machinations, and Kol definitely was not.
Mention of General Order One and phase cannons.
Bridge noises are all TOS. Transporter effect is vey TOS (sparkling lights), but modernized.
These aren't really call-backs or easter eggs, though, since the show takes place 10 years before TOS and they are considered normal!

I caught that, too. If LV-426 is in Klingon territory, they've got bigger problems than the Federation. Xenomorphs don't give a crap about racial purity. Or your digestive tract.
Hey, new idea! Klingons were once smooth headed humanoids, found LV-426, and founded a delightful friendship with the xenomorphs. After years of cross-species dating, you have Discovery Klingons with elongated heads and bumpy foreheads.

I mentioned it in the video. What I haven't heard mentioned is the Vulcan expeditions that Burnham talked about - one of these would have been something that Kirk would have participated in or may even be taking part in at the time of DSC...
Since the diplloma has the Starfleet arrowhead on it, that makes it pretty damn clear this military academy is a Starfleet training facility.
