Earth: Final Conflict Season 1 on DVD

According to TVShowsOnDVD, EFC Season 1 is finally coming out on DVD on May 5th.

It was slated to come out last summer, but it was canceled for some reason. Now, it is back on, and it seems like this is "more legit" as Universal gave percise info on the set (something not done for the planned last release). It could still be pulled, but as a big fan of the series (the good and the bad) I'm hopeful it won't.

Finally. This is the only season I'll buy and the only season of E:FC that I enjoyed.

Cool. I'll definitely buy it, I could never see myself buying E:FC's later seasons without starting with the first. It would have been nice to have the opportunity (given low enough prices) to buy seasons 2-4 afterwards, but such is life.

Good to hear. I don't think I'll buy it (unless I can find it somewhere later at a really cheap price), but it's nice to know that fans will have the option -- that is, if these release plans aren't scuttled again.
I've been watching some Season 1 episodes again --they're airing on Showcase Action right now-- and I'm reminded of how good (though far from perfect) the series was then. Seasons 3 and 4 were okay, as was the latter part of Season 2, and I don't completely hate Season 5 (yes, most of it was an embarrassing mess, but there were a few watchable episodes), but Season 1 was laying the groundwork for an interesting series. And then Tribune meddled with it.

Couldn't care less about Seasons 3-5, but I'd like Season 2 as well. Sadly, no sign

First season is worth watching and I think 2-4 are worthwhile too, though usually not quite as good as the first. The fifth season is the only one that is truly just bad.

first season - absolutely! (assuming it is decently priced...).

this was probably one of the best first seasons of a scifi show (much better than B5 or DS9's). just pretend that unlike those shows, this one got canceled

That's a good assessment of the series. Despite it's flaws and minor inconsistencies, seasons 1-4 tell a complete story. I would almost place season 4 up there with season 1 (albeit for different reasons).

Jeremiah was on Netflix on-demand for a while (that's where i saw it). season 2 was just so much better than season 1.

Although I've seen little bits of Season 1 here & there, I didn't start watching the show consistently until Seasons 3-5. So I've been very patiently waiting for Seasons 1 & 2 to get their due release. Hurrah!

Chalk up another vote for Jeremiah Season 2. Sooner we see that the better, although I'm not holding my breath.

Jericho was good, very good in fact, but not Jeremiah Season 2 class.

Season Five of E:FC wasn't completely bad. If you watch the premiere, Kevin Kilner's two episodes, Anita's 2 episodes, and then the last 2 episodes of the season... you actually have something really good. The rest is really just filler.
