I love the internet.
The price was not announced. I'm assuming that upon the Internet's explosion after the $189 leak yesterday (buy a hard drive for $120, buy our motion camera for $190), Microsoft made a late decision to hold off on pricing announcements. "Shit, shit -- okay, we're going to un-bundle everything but the sports game and let's re-price this bastard before we get lynched and our launch goes over like a wet fart in church."
Given the release of the 360 Slim with no corresponding price drop in existing shelf models, I'm really expecting Sony or Nintendo to come out with a price drop announcement tomorrow.
Ah, it's confirmed what "Kinect ready" means. Kinect on old 360s will require a separate power brick.
Also, is this the first time a company has bribed the press live at a show? Where's my 360 for sitting through that dreck?

At last they release the 360 as it should have been at release, and Kinnect unsurprisingly turns out to be a Wii clone.....also they were a bit shy on the internal HDD, i assume its still locked to MS peripherals and you cant stick your own HDD in it.
Christ, if my July 2007 Elite ever red-rings, I'm just paying the extra 50 bucks for a new Arcade as opposed to a refurb from Microsoft.

i dont get it... the first part of their presentation was nothing but games for the hardcore fans... Halo, MGS, Gears, Fable, the new Crytek Game... but i guess since they ended the conference on casual stuff, everyone is forgetting the start.
in the end, who cares if Kinect or Move are copies of the Wii... the Wii wasnt the first, and if someone can do it better, more power to them.
His dancing is better than mine. And I would know, because I just had a humiliating dancing experience recently. He would have gotten the girls I tried to get.

It was all stuff we knew was coming except of the exclusive Crytek game. And none of it was exciting... I thought Molyneux would get to show off some wacky Fable 3 features or even Milo but he just shuffled off the stage a few seconds after he went on.

They spend a non-insignificant chunk of time talking about titles aimed at the traditional hardcore audience. No, that doesn't make the Kinect stuff any less amusing, but to act as if they're abandoning or not having a focus on traditional gaming as some people are doing is horrifically incorrect.
I think the perceived lameness of Kinect just so overwhelmed us that it was easy to forget about the Halo, GOW, etc, videos. It was THAT bad.
Of course I was the moron who laughed my ass off at the Wii when it was introduced and we see what a smash it became. So based on that, this damn Kinect thing will probably take off too. All the while, people like me are going
