E-Reader for reading Comics

Does anyone read comic books on an e-reader like a Kindle Fire or Nook or iPad3 (or possibly other devices). I am getting rid of my comic book collection and want to start reading comic books again, but I don't know which Reader to get. I have read some reviews on some reviews on the three devices above and and heard bad things about at least one of them.

I have read in one review that DC and Marvel have their own ideas on which tablet you should use but it seems that you could use any tablet. If anyone has read comics on a tablet/e-reader, which one(s)

Thanks for any info.

I've been reading Marvel comics on my Google Samsung Nexus (Android phone). It's small, but readable.

The app for Marvel (and DC) is by comiXology.

I imagine it'd be fantastic on an iPad or Samsung tablet. (And the like.)

I would tend to doubt that Marvel and DC have different thoughts on specific tablets that should be used. As DAYoung said, their "own" reader apps are both actually by the heavyweight in e-reader versions of comics, comiXology. I don't use either of those "dedicated" apps, just the one straight from comiXology. I'm quite happy with it on my iPad (3rd generation), just as it worked fine on my HTC Incredible smartphone.

I don't read comics very much anymore, but I did enjoy reading them on my iPad when I first got it. Great color, and I liked the way the comics were formatted for the device. You could look at the whole page, or go to a panel with a tap, and then to the next. I didn't enjoy the $2 price tag for most of them, though.

I apologize for not using the correct words. Sometimes I can't think of the right ones so I try to generalize and hope that people can get what I mean. DC made a contract with Amazon (Kindle Fire) and Marvel made a contract with Barnes & Noble (Nook). I did a lot of research about a week ago and I don't have a direct link. I have googled for this stuff and the best I can find is http://robot6.comicbookresources.co...ons-about-the-kindle-fire-and-digital-comics/
(some reason I remember a code for links but I can't find it)
Anyway, this year old webpage refers to DC and I had another page that had both of them.

Ah, interesting. I actually didn't know about that. Thanks for the link. That is kind of irritating, as I see at least a few collections I would purchase through comiXology for my iPad listed on the first link in that article.
