E.C.S. Moonlight - Gunship

Tarek71

Earth Commercial Ship (ECS) Moonlight. Outfitted here as a privateer gunship. 108 meters long, her main weapon is a 120cm/47" cannon. Like the A-10, she is designed around this main gun which runs most of the length of the ship. She lives in the Sci Fi universe I created where Earth and Euros (a civilization of White Nationalists who migrated from Earth and created Euros) are going to war. The White Falcon and Space Guard Cutter in another thread live in this universe as well.

In addition to the main gun, she mounts 8" cannons, and a CIWS weapon system with eight 50 mm guns and 8 missiles each. Designed as a kind of armed merchant Q-ship, she gets a commercial registry despite being armed heavily.

She is shown here firing one of the 19ft long shells from the main gun. She has a warp ring and ships use a combination of Alcubierre Warp rings and Jumpgates.

Star Wars crossover. The Moonlight meets the Millennium Falcon. Don't remember who created that MF model, but it is not mine. The only change I made to their model was to add a bluish glow to the MF aft engine.

The ship that the Moonlight is firing on is an ~85 meter transport. It has 2 Alcubierre rings, like the IXS Enterprise model. I have also give it a Project Orion nuclear pulse engine for the secondary propulsion.

First step of the interiors of the ECS Moonlight. Drawing the basic layout of the main deck. It is Deck C3 in the command module at the forward section and then continues into the thru deck in the "neck" until it reaches the ENG section, where it joins with Engineering Deck E5.

Just as with the Spacematic Redux, once the layout is completed with equip and furniture, it will go back to SketchUp to make it 3 Dimensional.

Laying out the bridge first. Took some doing, but with a triangular shape, I think it is easier to section of the "wings" and put the main bridge in a squared off middle section. The side compartments can be storage, bathrooms, small galley, etc.

+1 for having a head.

Always an important consideration!

Trying to be generous with showers and bathrooms. A crazy wide hallway here though. I think I may have to turn some of these rooms sideways. I know La Sirena had big, wide empty spaces but I remember thinking what a colossal waste of space that was, so I will try to tighten this up.
