It seems kind of strange to me that they only marked down the second String Theory book, but not the others. You'd think if they were only going to mark down one book in the trilogy they'd go with the first book, like they did for the Vulcan's Soul trilogy, and not just the middle book.

Those had been on sale at the lesser price previously. I'm not sure what schema they use to decide these things. There used to be 'themes' but I'm not sure that's done anymore.

We got three random A Time to... books last month (#3, #7 and #9). This was the first time any of them had been offered as part of the monthly sales. I was hoping they would continue to release parts of the series, but nothing this month. Fingers crossed that the others are still going to come at some point, though.

That being said, I still got 5 releases this month that I don't think had been on sale in Canada before, so I'm thankful for that. I'm really liking this new thing of having ~20 titles on the sale list that they've been doing for the first couple months of 2025... hope it continues!
 
For those of you in the UK, it seems that basically every Star Trek novel is now £2.99 on Kindle on Amazon. It's a blanket policy - you can pick up individual titles or omnibus series for the same price when they're available. Even novels as recent as The High Country. The very new stuff is fuller price, like SNW Asylum. But Pliable Truths is £2.99 - so it seems to be everything 9 months and older.

Happy as a reader, though perhaps not as someone who values the health of Treklit to see stuff that new go for that cheap!

No idea. Just looking at my order history there, I got Pliable Truths for £3.26 in late July 2024, when it was very fresh.

To be honest, they're too cheap!

I can also see Star Trek - Discovery - The Way to the Stars by Una McCormack has also been reduced to 99p
 
I've been wanting to read Last Full Measure and The Unsettling Stars, this might be my chance to get them.
 
If I don't want to buy these deals from Amazon, where else can I find them? I'm thinking of switching over to Kobo, and I'd like to continue to support these authors.

I don't know about the US, but the regular monthly deals are available on Kobo Canada too.

Sometimes Amazon does have additional Amazon-exclusive deals, though.
