E-Book Pricing Alerts

I had all of the books for this month but than this one hit and had to snag it immediately! I wish all of those Trek Making Of books were available on Kindle but Wrath of Khan is still my fave Trek flick so I'm more than happy to snag this one.
This reminds me, does anyone know why the Search for Spock book isn't available as an e-book. The First Contact and Wrath of Khan ones are, but not the Search for Spock.
It's frankly no substitute for the gorgeous hard cover, but for 4 bucks I'm happy to have a digital companion. (It's not much fun to try and read on my phone though.)
I actually prefer reading this kind of stuff on my tablet and phone, it's a lot less cumbersome than the hardcovers, you can get the double page images without them being split in the middle, and you can zoom in if you want to take a closer look at something.

This reminds me, does anyone know why the Search for Spock book isn't available as an e-book. The First Contact and Wrath of Khan ones are, but not the Search for Spock.

Although the First Contact one seemed to have had the ebook published at the same time as the hardcover, the Wrath of Khan ebook seems to have been released almost 8 months after the hardcover was (Sept 5, 2023 vs. Apr 30, 2024). So I expect you will probably see the ebook version for The Search for Spock one come out late April/early May next year.

Oh, I didn't know that about the First Contact book, hopefully that'll be the case with the TSFS one too.

99 cents in the U.S. as far as I can see…

TOS: The More Things Change
DS9: Rising Son
DS9: The Collectors

And $1.99…
DS9: A Stitch in Time
STO: The Needs of the Many
TNG: Articles of the Federation
TNG: Genesis Wave, Books 1 through 3
TNG: Ghost Ship
TNG: Strike Zone
TOS: Child of Two Worlds
TOS: Troublesome Minds
ENT: Beneath the Raptor’s Wing
ENT: The Expanse
PIC: Second Self
The Dominion War, Books 1-3
TITAN: Synthesis
TITAN: Absent Enemies

I'm sad that the Canada and US sales are out of sync now. From amazon.ca this is what I am seeing right now (only Pocket books, I use "pocket" as a filter to get rid of books Amazon wants me to look at that are not Star Trek at all):

$0.99 CAD:
DS9: Avatar 1 and 2 (permanent sale)
SCE: Blackout
SCE: Invincible Book 1
SCE: Paradise Interrupted
SCE: The Demon Book 1
SCE: Troubleshooting
TNG: Slings and Arrows 3

I'm not sure if the SCE titles are permanent sales now, they seem to have been on sale for a couple of months now.

$1.99 CAD:
DS9: A Stitch in Time
DS9: Day of Honor 2 Armageddon Sky
DS9: Far Beyond the Stars (novelization)
DS9: The Laertian Gamble
DS9: Rebels 2: The Courageous
The Art of Star Trek
TNG: Genesis Wave 1-3 (but no Genesis Force, it is $18.99)
TNG: Nemesis (novelization)
TNG/DS9: Dominion War 1-3 (but no 4, it is $8.99)
TOS: Child of Two Worlds
TOS: Faces of Fire
TOS: Troublesome Minds
VOY: Captain Proton

Again, some of these seem to be on sale for more than a month at a time and may be permanent sales.

I wish Titan: Sword of Damocles had gone on sale in Canada, it's the one Titan book I don't have for Kindle and it sells here for $19.99. I see some of the older titles have gone up to as much as $29.99 for the Kindle versions as well which is some whimsical pricing.

I'm sad that the Canada and US sales are out of sync now.

You and me both... :(

Again, some of these seem to be on sale for more than a month at a time and may be permanent sales.

The sales from June never came off sale at the end of June. You can see the list here. I try to exclude those ones when I list the sales for the new month. I imagine that if they ever get repeated on a monthly sale, they will end up going off sale at the end of that month, just like the December 2022 "permanent" sale books have... I think Avatar Books 1 & 2 might be the only two now left from that group?

Some of the presumed November deals are now available for 99p in the UK:

TOS
To Reign in Hell - The Exile of Khan Noonien Singh by Greg Cox
Excelsior - Forged in Fire by Michael A. Martin & Andy Mangels
Seasons of Light and Darkness by Michael A. Martin
Gateways Book One - One Small Step by Susan Wright

TNG
Section 31 - Rogue by Andy Mangels and Michael A. Martin

Section 31
Disavowed by David Mack

Challenger
Gateways Book Two - Chainmail by Diane Carey

The sale prices on s&s website list prices of up to 14.99, which isnt the norm, usually it shows the sale price there and the retailers lag a little. Are they saying that the $15 price point is the sale price for those books?

So for my fellow Canadians, this appears to be the list for us this month:

TOS #15: Corona
TOS: Seasons of Light and Darkness
TOS: Section 31: Cloak
TNG: Section 31: Rogue
DS9: Section 31: Abyss
VOY: Section 31: Shadow
Section 31: Disavowed

So one-third of the 21 titles on the US list. I already have all the ones on the Canadian list, and even on the US list, the only one that seems to be new is ENT: Shockwave. So I guess I'm not as bothered by that as I was in some of the previous months.

Just shockwave for me, but i think shockwave was the last enterprise book i didnt own, so glad to complete the series.

The December deals are up on Amazon UK for 99p

Savage Trade by Tony Daniel

The official web page for the US deals has been updated. The same titles as O_P listed are there plus some others like Orion's Hounds and Dwellers in the Crucible.

This appears to be the list for Canada this month:

TOS #13: The Wounded Sky
TOS #23: Ishmael
TOS #25: Dwellers in the Crucible
TOS #80: The Joy Machine
TOS: Savage Trade
TOS: Strangers from the Sky
TNG #7: Masks
TNG #13: The Eyes of the Beholders
TNG #36: Into the Nebula
TNG #39: Rogue Saucer
DS9: Ascendance
Section 31: Control

So basically nothing new that hasn't been offered before. In fact, I believe we have been on a reduced list from what the US has for half a year now, and in that time, I don't think there has been a single deal available in Canada that hadn't been offered previously. It's like they don't want my money. (Or more likely, they want me to pay full price, but for me the ebook versions are only a supplement to the print versions I already have, so there's no way I'm going to buy them at full price.) I don't want to sound ungrateful, because at least we are still getting deals, and I'm sure these are helpful to those who didn't pick them up when they were offered previously, but... it's been six months. It would be nice to get something new.

The ones that hurt this month are the newish SNW: Toward the Night and Academy: Collision Course, both which are on sale in the US but have never been on sale here.
