(Via Doctor Who News Page): The latest issue of DWM has announced the titles and writers and some cast details for the final six Sarah Jane Adventures episodes (making up 3 two-part stories) that the BBC has confirmed will air this fall, with DWM suggesting October as a likely start.
That might mean the final SJAs and the second half of Series 6 could end up airing around the same time.

One tidbit I picked up elsewhere is that, fortunately, of the three stories completed, one was the season premiere - and the other was the finale. So abbreviated though it may be, we'll get a sense of a complete arc, anyway.
Also, since the episodes were shot back to back with Series 4, that should mean Lis should look as "well" in these episodes as she did in the Series 4 episodes (and take a look at the DWM special on the SJA and she looks downright robust in some of those final episodes). There's a misconception that they stopped filming when she got too ill, but in fact the plan to split the production was announced early on, though in hindsight it might have been done in anticipation of Lis being unavailable for a full-season commitment later on. I'm willing to bet that if we ever get details of what was planned for stories 3, 4 and 5 they were likely to have been Sarah-lite stories. I'd also bet there would probably been another Eleventh Doctor crossover considering how well the first one did... sadly, we can only speculate now.
(A side note - I only just discovered that Series 4 - and 5 - were shot in HD. I wonder why there's been no Blu-ray release for Series 4?)
