DVD set #1 on CircuitCity.com

$189.99 for the complete 4 season set on DVD...

Personally, I'll wait for the blu-ray... No sense in paying that much for a dieing medium. Plus DVD doesn't do that series justice.

I agree. I have s. 3 and 4 of ENT. But I figure waiting for Blu-Ray is more logical. A shame there's still uncertainty as to we'll ever get TNG and DS9 on BR.

At this point, I'm just going to wait for Blu-ray, and ENT should look gorgeous since it was actually filmed and edited and mastered for HD, unlike the other post-TOS series. But even then, I'll only buy it if the price isn't absurd like the Trek DVD sets always are when they first come out. That, and as long as the packaging isn't horrible, again as usual. I don't own any Trek shows on DVD because of those two factors.

I paid $250 for mine and many others paid much more than that. $189 is a bargain! BTW: Amazon has them for $145. They must be clearing stock for the Blu-Ray introduction.

I have a feeling that they are going to make us "pay through the nose" for Blu-Ray when it comes out. Here's an interesting Stat: Only 11% of US households have some form of HD DVD. I enjoy my regular DVDs. I was even able to rip the episodes down to size for my iTouch. It's cool watching episodes on trains and planes.

Enterprise on Blu-ray pricing

I have a feeling that they are going to make us "pay through the nose" for Blu-Ray when it comes out.

Paramount/CBS released Star Trek: The Original Series - Season 1 on Blu-ray in Q2 2009 at a list price of $129.99 for 1 season. Best Buy Price is $84.99.

I think they will have similar pricing for Enterprise on Blu-ray. It is not a 40-year old series but Best Buy has it as
the DVD price 4 years after it was initially released priced at 1 season List Price: $69.98. Best Buy Price: $59.99

Doubtful that Paramount/CBS Home Video will try to get the upwards of List Price: $134.99/season list price on StarTrek.com at an actual retail store for a Blu-ray set since most Enterprise fans have already purchased Enterprise on DVD and would purchase ONLY a Star Trek: Enterprise - Complete Series Blu-ray set since it always saves money buying the complete series.

We all know that Paramount/CBS won't be releasing Enterprise twice on Blu-ray. This is it. It was mastered at HD and this HD release is the only Blu-ray release for Enterprise.
My guess is this will be released in Q4 2010 or Q2 2011.

Apple iTunes Store, Microsoft's XBOX Marketplace will sell HD downloads at the same time but that is not a Blu-ray.
