DVD Connection issue

I just recently installed a new Vizio LED TV and the last two nights I've watched some TNG on the DVD Player. Unfortunately, there are spurts (Like 3 times in an episode) where the picture would scramble (A reddish pink color) for a second or two and then return back to the regular viewing. Is this a DVD issue or a TV issue or is it a simple connection fix? The audio still works so the DVD itself doesn't freeze, but why am I getting a scrambled picture which only lasts a second?

It might be a component cable issue. Your RCA connections may be faulty. I'd try that first since it's the cheapest to replace.

Well, I tried another disc and that seemed to work fine. I'm wondering if this is just a disc issue, but I'll consider the cables too.

It may be the disc, then. I doubt it's the TV. The reason the cables seemed likely to me is because when cables go out they tend to do that.

That almost sounds like MacroVision protection or something.
