No date for when it will happen, but they are taking beta signups for the free version now:

Sounds like the game will be EXTREMELY limited as a Free version though.

Which makes sense from a business perspective, if you think about it. Create an addiction, then milk it.

Which is all that MMOs really are anyway.

Still, this would be enough to lure me back to it if I didn't already have WoW and LOTRO to play around with.
