Dune 2018 (19,20,21...)

Well looks like I may end up with two sets, an independent shop I buy my eaglemoss stuff from (although they never got my spacedock :mad:) replied to an earlier message I had sent saying they can get them now (at a slightly higher price than Amazon) and since I had asked them already and they went out and found a supplier I can't say no. Support your local shops, especially in this economy.

Oh well, I was hoping for an excuse to buy two of each anyway, one to keep boxed/have autographed and one to open.

Not too hot...I hate melted action figures ;)

It'll be as hot and as dry as the sands of Arrakis, baby.

Edit:. Shit, that wasn't even the right store:cardie: I had reached out to two and was confused which was which!

And as I just saw pointed out that's also the date for 'The Batman', so that could end up moving to 2022 as Warner's aren't going to compete with themselves.

:wah::wah::wah:

But i guess we all knew it would be delayed but nearly a year?? That's harsh - maybe they'll reconsider and release it sometime Summer 2021.
It's less about this specific movie than the studios' whole line-up is being moved over by one year. Active production is still spotty at best which means everything in the pipeline is being delayed. If they dump what they have in the can early then by next summer/autumn when hopefully things have recovered and people are actually willing to go back into crowded rooms again they'll have nothing to show. Makes more sense to write off this whole year and start over.

looks like I'm not going back to the theatre anytime soon.. even though I want to.. Guess I just have to hope for a Trek movie marathon..

Unfortunate, but not unexpected. Hopefully things will be under better control next October guaranteeing a release then.

I guess we all knew they wouldn't keep the release date one week before the (current) release date for WW84. And it also makes sense to push it all the way back to October. Even if this is the last tentpole movie to have its release date pushed back, the first half of 2021 is gonna be crowded.

Considering how risky this venture feels, I'm all for them doing whatever it takes for the movie to make maximum profit so we might actually get the second part. :)

Kinda feel like going around to everyone who said "Dune won't move!!!!" and quoting them with an "I told you so" but, while I am that petty, I'm also too lazy.

Turns out this is taking The Batman's old release date.

Yeah, the trailer for it already pretty much confirmed they were abandoning it's original release date with a "Coming to theatres ??-??-202?" Tag, and that was before Pattinson got Covid.
