I don't think so, though she had always encouraged me to "get healthy." This was always done within the context of conversations about doctor visits, and she never phrased it about anything other than health.

We are currently in an election dispute though. She thinks I'm not taking it seriously enough that Barak won, but I'm telling her we have to be positive. The thing is... I like the disagreement. I like persuading her. I must be weird.
Two things:
Tell her, it's a fantastic thing that Obama is elected so no worries there!
And, two, I really wouldn't push this issue now. Let it slide and just focus on rebuilding the relationship. You might like it but she may not.

I find it disturbing that she is disturbed. This is the system in action and you should remind her that we cannot (nor should not) win all the time.
You have to look at more than one issue. The big picture. Life is more complex than black or white.
You two voted how you felt. However, the majority feel differently and have spoken.
This should not be an issue in your personal relationship. If it is, I have less reason to feel optimistic for you two.

Does she cry for actual babies killed in places like Iraq by American bombs and American caused terrorism? How about American children and others who die because of an inability to access adequate healthcare? Also, does she cry for families broken up by the immigration department?
I taught her how to shoot, and she wants to take me to the Smith & Wesson range this weekend.
Yeah. It IS creepy. I wonder if she wanted to come back because she's lonely and hasn't found anyone else.
Did you guys WORK out your problems? Or just ignore them and get back together?
I don't want to rain on your joy, but, if this is a serious relationship then you need to work on the problems and not just pretend they didn't happen.

the religious differences, or the actual reasons why she dumped you? Because I'd put real money that the two were not entirely the same, and the religious conflicts were just symptoms of the larger problem. If you've only "fixed" the religious problems (and only then by knuckling under and changing your religious beliefs), then you're setting yourself up for a bit fall a bit later on...
Besides, you might catch something.
