Dumped

This kind of thing is why religion is terrible - it drives people apart when it should bring them together.

It strikes me that I never offered my sympathies to you being dumped. I do offer my sympathies. We don't exactly think alike on a lot of things, but being dumped sucks regardless of ones thoughts and views. I've struggle quite abit with my ex dumping, and we where engaged at that point since a month. I think I know a bit of what you're feeling. I had my heart set on spending the rest of my life with her and suddenly she realizes that she doesn't feel that about me. As it was it turns out later on that she lied for the majority of our relationship about her loving me and had in fact already started seeing another guy for over a month when I was over in the US visiting her. So that was a whole other level of betrayal there, not to mention me realizing I had shit people judging skills. I hope for your sake there are no such nasty revelations in your future.
who was the guy (on here) who was having girl trouble over his SO finding her faith with the Utah mob after she had a miscarriage? what happened in that case?
Could've so been me up the whole Utah mob thing

Okay, help me out here so I can understand the situation. What EXACTLY is is that you disagreed on? I'm not that big on any religion except Norse mythology so I don't know all the terms.
He thinks its possible to have a falling-out with the Christian God AFTER being "saved" by accepting Christ. She does not - once you're in, you're in. Feel free to rape and pillage.

^Is that so? Damn apostle in that case you went up a few notches in my eyes!

Her belief is that you never had an authentic faith after the "falling out."

Two of my roommates cats are named after those god's. Will it help your cause if I dangle some string in front of them and/or rub their stomachs?

Yea, for Tor and Tyr cast their mighty countenance upon all string and dangly things, and see that they are good.

Dude, you're a nice guy and all, but religion just screws things up.

Well, usually the "religious reason" masks a deeper problem, but people like to pin the blame on God.

I mean, it's not like He's sitting on the couch behind you, bowl of popcorn in hand, yelling "Aw, no you didnt!"

I've had a couple of friends who had break ups with their SOs over "religion", and you're right there's usually another issue other than religion at play-- religion just makes a easier 'scape goat.

Just cause you think everything is cool, doesn't meant it is.

Right even I, very much a non-Christian, thinks that's rubbish. Of course you had an authentic belief. I mean me, I believed in God once. I don't anymore but I don't deny that I had that faith once. People reconsider all sorts of things, but what's done is done, in both positive and negative ways.

It can't hurt! Which two btw? If it's Freja, I threw her in because I thought it mgiht help me get lucky, Godess of fertility that she is.

Apostle, I am truly sorry, feel better, brother. Just trust God, He'll get you through this, even though there'll probably be a lot of pain in the coming days.

I agree with the bunny. Usually if you respect someone their different takes on things shouldn't both you if you can talk them through. If it leads to a drag down fight then you have deeper issues.

Suddenly I wished I was feeling down so she'd stop by my place as well. But I'm listening to Moby so I just can't be feelin' down at the moment.
