I don't know why the universe needs one Snow White movie much less two, but we're getting them. So which will you be lining up at midnight to see? And yes, you must pick one! :p

The Brothers Grimm: Snow White

Love triangle between Evil Queen Julia Roberts, Prince Charming Armie Hammer (the Winklevoii from The Social Network) and Phil Collin's daughter as the fairest of them all. Director: Tarsem Singh.

Snow White and the Huntsman

Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, Kristen Stewart as Snow White, and Viggo Mortensen as the Huntsman. Looks like Prince Charming is out on his ass, along with the sparkly vampires.

I gotta go with Charlize as the Evil Queen. And no, I didn't vote for that movie because I'm scared of Kristen Stewart's fangirl army.

Kristen Stewart would make a better Sleeping Beauty, well, Sleepy Beauty anyway.

I don't know, the current directors don't have a lot of history but Tarsem Singh's projects are at least interesting. If pressed though, I'll have to wait for The Asylum's version.:)

I should have mentioned Tarsem Singh, so I added him to the description - he should make his version look fantastic, anyway. Dunno who the other guy is. The cast for Huntsman still gets my vote.

Kristen Stewart as Snow White? Like I want to see that talentless blockhead huff and monotone her way through a Snow White performance?

If forced to choose, I'd take my chances with the other one, though I'd probably skip both.

Where's the puke option? Bleah!

I deliberately left it out. :D

This thread is an experiment to assess just how bored everyone is, that they're willing to reply to it due to there being nothing out there that is actually worth talking about.

lol :guffaw: Have zero interest in seeing either film, but have lot of time for Mortensen, Theron and Roberts as actors...

There's actually a third version in the works, in which the dwarves are replaced by ninjas or samurai. Really.

I think the working title is The Seven.

Can't they just sell the stuff they're smoking instead of doing these crapfests?

You know, I'm not sure why people are reacting negatively to this. What's wrong with new versions of classic fairy tales?

Granted, three versions is a bit much . . . .

One of these movies could end up being awesome... don't judge movies based on short blurbs of scripts.

It just seems like it's a random fad to attract teenage girls rather than folks putting any decent effort into anything.

I mean honestly, who didn't see the Twilight-ization in Beastly and Red Riding Hood?

Blame the money that Alice in Wonderland movie with Johnny Depp made.

You should hear my solution to the Libyan and Ivory Coast crises...

Stop right there. I don't want to see Gaddafi making out with anyone. :ack:
