"I centupled its intelligence...I raised its IQ...I made the dumb rat smart."
"Oh! I see. What you got there is a Smart Rat ray. Why didn't you just say that?"
That was a great way to introduce the Rescue Rangers! I just wished they had lines instead of silently assisting Launchpad throughout. Maybe sometime in the future...
Speaking of Launchpad, he has finally met his match with Steelbeak. And who better to voice Steelbeak than the always irascible Jason Mantzoukas?! I hope we see plenty more of the character this season as F.O.W.L. unveils their...foul...plans.
Overall, I really loved this episode with its James Bond overtones and how Launchpad and Dewey thought they were just playing a game the whole time (although, obviously, smart Launchpad saw through the facade). Smart Launchpad, like intelligible Donald, is a fun aside but of course, he had to go back to normal. But at least it was a noble sacrifice.

I forgot to comment on last week's second episode. I really enjoyed how it broke the fourth wall with Huey being the only one to slowly realize something was wrong with the show playing out like a scripted, live 90s sitcom. Great reveal that the whole thing was the result of Donald accidentally wishing the whole thing into existence because he wanted a "normal" family life courtesy of Gene the Genie (good to see him again!).
Lastly, I love that Della has been properly incorporated into the opening sequence. She's an excellent addition to the cast.
