We don't need a royal family. While children are going to school hungry in brittian. We waste money on these benefit scrounges.

And ABC News is reporting it will be the first future king to ever leave the hospital and be driven home in a car seat!!!

well, the baby hasn't picked his parents, so the anti-royalists should please not be so negative towards the little chap.
In my opinion what counts is that the baby is healthy (which it is) and that the family loves him (which they do) and shall do their best to give it a happy childhood and a good life (as ought to be every parent's goal).
Whether it'll be rich or poor, a king or a bus conductor, later, doesn't really matter at all as long as it'll grow up to be a nice and friendly person with good manners and a good character.
As for the Royals per se: yes, they may be expensive but they attract so many tourists that the costs are covered thousandfold and they do a damned good job at representing your country abroad (so long as the new great-granddad can hold his tongue
). I think on the whole they do a much better job than most elected politicians. And - you are propably too young to remember it - the Queen Mom turned the Tower grounds and Buckingham Palace gardens into veggie gardens during the war and the whole royal family worked there. The produce was given to the London hospitals. Plus the Queen is a certified car mechanic and actually worked as such during the war.
Show me one politician who'd do something like that!
But back to the topic: congratulations to the parents and all the country
